  1. Then who looks like the .? It's going to happen. You need to learn to deal with it or buy a boat. If I'm in the front of the boat and I'm fishing for 5k and your in the back going for a grand I'm going to do the same thing. Worry about myself, and so would anyone else in that situation. Until I got my limit anyway. Not everybody is going to do that. You might, but not everybody. I know a lot of pro's even that are fishing for more than 5k and still keep the coangler in mind. Watch this video, this is my friend Aaron Hastings, and notice he wasn't a jerk about it. http://www.aaronsgonefishing.com/videos.html Watch number 3 out of 14
  2. X2!!! The only thing I would add would be to fish tournaments. Fish local tournaments if you are able to start getting some competitive fishing under your belt. Also, find a good tackle shop around your area and become a "normal" customer. Make friends with the owners and employee's. That can get you started. Good luck!
  3. For those of you that haven't seen it yet, Ryan caught 2 fish at like 3+ making him place at like 47th. Even though he did not make the cut for the next day, the guy that he was competing with for AOY (angler of the year) didn't catch anything so Ryan has won the AOY! Congratulations Ryan! You earned it!
  4. Glad to hear you got on the bite. Can't wait to see the update. Good luck man.
  5. That's awesome RW. We need more people like you in this world!
  6. Doubt it. I know who his spelling teacher was... ;D hahahahaha. True. ;D
  7. Thanks speadbead, maybe he can spell sponsors! haha.
  8. Me and my wifes Rottweiler. He's grown fast, and may as well be our son. He is a great companion. The mighty Leland!
  9. Flowers and a card go along way. Thats what I usually do. If she works, have them sent to her work place. That usually gets a big smile.
  10. I can't stand NE but Cassel was leading them very nice today. I was impressed with his pass completion odds, not to mention the big play pass from the 1/2 yard line. I'm all for the chiefs and believe they have a growing team, (with 32 people on the roster under 25 years old) but I'll give Cassel his credit. The hit on Brady looked as though he probably just hyper-extended his knee, painful, but heels fairly quick, I would imagine he'll be back for the next game.
  11. No problem Ryan. We are all here for you, If I didn't start it, someone else would have.
  12. I'd planned on doing both. Accuracy and distance. LBH, send me a message with any helpful advice you can. I'm in south east kansas, Pittsburg Kansas actually. The closest bass pro is about 2 hours away. Who would be the best people to contact to get some help with this thing? I'd like to do it before it gets to cold, but, that may be cutting it close on being able to plan it like I would like it. I may have to do it early spring; kind of a fishing season kick-off.
  13. That all sounds great! I'm going to give it a try. We don't have any BPS or Cabella's here, the nearest one is in Kansas City, (2 hours). There are 2 tackle shops that are local, I may see if I can do it in the pavement parking lot. That could also promote his business. Thanks for all the info!
  14. Hey guys, I'm heading to Selvin, IN to do some welding at a power plant there. It's about 600 miles from home, so I have no idea about any fishing holes around there. Any body know of any? Thanks! Here is a map of where I'm located, it seems to be a small town, I'm heading there Sunday, and I'll be there for 6 weeks. Thanks! http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Selvin&state=IN
  15. Wow, about 15 hours up and already this many responses. That is incredible.
  16. This is for Senko77 Shortly he will be heading down to Lake Eufala for the final BFL Event in his area. He is in the lead for the co-angler of the year by 56 points. Good luck Senko77!!!!!
  17. Haha! That's an oldy but it is funny!
  18. Check out craigslist and local papers. There are always good deals coming up. If you have a problem with space then you are just going to have to get an inflatable. If you have room for a canoe, then you might as well spring for a john boat.
  19. Hey guys, I want to have a Kids Casting Contest in or around my home town. What is the best way to go about this? I don't want it to be some little "red neck" thing, I would like it to be a fairly big deal... Any suggestions? Thanks
  20. My top choice is Ike, and there is also a guy named Aaron Hastings. He is a great guy. I met him 3 years ago and the Beaver Lake Arkansas FLW tourny. He later came here, Kansas, and did some deer hunting on our land, then I went up there, Maryland, and did some fishing with him. We keep in touch about every week. I think everyone should keep an eye on him, he is deadly with that drop shot.
  21. we just did our night tournay. ALOT of fish caught between 6:30-7:00 am. black spinner bait. Where are some good places around olathe? My fiance is from there and that's where her family lives. I wouldn't mind fishing some new water.
  22. So right now I'm sure you are thinking, "WOW, THESE GUYS ARE JACK @$$'$." But listen man, these guys on here are all great. They have the info that you want/need. The only thing you need to realize is if you are so lazy not to even type/talk right, then why would they think that if they give you their time, you are going to use it??? SELF IMAGE, SELF RESPECT, AND SELF CONFIDENCE. GET ALL OF THAT.
  23. Don't be shy. Go out shake some hands. Introduce your self to people. Conduct yourself with a high level of maturity and make them remember you. Not to mention fish your head off! You would have to place pretty high to get the attention you want. Remember, if it was as easy as going to 1 big tournament to get sponsored, everyone could do it. Good luck.
  24. Again, I'm sorry to hear the bad news guys. Catt, i'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. FFD, same to you and have a safe trip the the viewing.
