Ideal punching/frogging rod under $130
Duckett has a new rod coming out, the Triad. They offer a 7'4" Heavy which would be a great frog rod, and a 7'6" XH for your punching needs. $129.99 new.

Anyone use Lews line?
Just curious how it is vs other brands. I'm particularly interested in the 30lb braid. Thanks!

The Lost Lures Thread
RIP to my Vision 110 last winter. I kept it in the box for competition, but felt the need throw it in my pickerel infested pond one day. Twitch, twitch, gone... goodbye forever!

Shallow diving BIG Crankbaits
Because the hooks are so beefy, I feel comfortable throwing it on a 7'6" MH rod, not a crankbait rod. It's a big plug and you need backbone to toss it. I think that rod is a good compromise.

Shallow diving BIG Crankbaits
The King Shad is a 4" body. The SKT mags and 8.0's are both 4.5". The OP asked for SHALLOW big bodied divers, which the 8.0 dives too deep for. It's the perfect solution for the OP's question.

Shallow diving BIG Crankbaits
If you can find them, the Strike King King Shad's were awesome. Only dove about 3' and I really hammered some pigs on them.

Vegetation ID help
It does have a sulfuric "skunky" smell. It's hard to say. But it's EVERYWHERE. It only grows about a foot off the bottom and makes it very difficult to fish anything that contacts bottom.

Vegetation ID help
What kind of grass is this? It grows like moss on the bottom and only to less than a foot in length. It covers the whole bottom (there are no hard spots in the lake I fish in). Tiny leaves and thin stems. That's a KVD 300 jerkbait in the photo for reference. Thanks!

New to Bass fishing...Advice on Equipment
Here's some rules to live by: -ALWAYS bring a pair of needle nose pliers with you. -FOCUS on your mechanics, instead of your gear selection. Being able to cast a bait exactly where it needs to be is mich more important than the color of said bait. Practice your casting. -PAT ATTENTION to details. If you're having more bites than usual (or less), what's different? Look at how you hooked a bass. How did he eat your bait? How is the lure sitting is hos mouth. Did he approach from the side, in ambush? From the back because he was following it? Did he engulf the bait, which means he liked it, or did you barely have him hooked on the back treble because he didn't want to commit. Spend your time learning bass behavior, not specific techniques, and you'll enjoy the sport a whole lot more. Welcome to the Brotherhood!

"Rubber" skirts from LPO
I just got an order of "rubber" spinnerbaits skirts from lure parts online and they are NOT rubber. They're the old fashioned quick skirts, and are advertised as "not silicone", but they aren't rubber. I'm pretty lit up, because I thought I was getting rubber. Anyone else have this issue? Anyone know where I can get real flat rubber spinnerbaits skirts?

Looking for bank/wading spot near Columbia PA.
Hoe about anywhere on the Susquehanna? World class smallmouth in there.

6'10" ML XF vs 7'1" M F
Either, really. Both are well suited. So pick the rod that feels best when you hold it. "Let the rod choose you..."

Duckett Triad's coming mid November
I know they're some Duckett fans (and haters) on this site. I found out that the new Duckett Triad rods, which debuted at ICAST, should be arriving mid-November. I was looking at buying a few Micro Magics, but maybe I'll just buy a few Triads and be the test dummy for all of you. Just wanted to share in case someone else was in he market for a new stick and wanted to try something new.

Smaller And/or Private Pocono Lakes
You can usually fish up to about New Years in the Milford/DF area. I fish a collection of lakes and average 30-50 bass days. In winter, I catch perch up to 14" and crappies up to 18". I've caught bass up to 7lbs. Buy a house there. PM me for location.

South East PA Spot Needed
I live in Telford and I run two hours north to the Poconos for numbers and quality. I don't think you'll find numbers consistently in any public Lake in SE PA

Fall topwater
Strike King Sexy Dawg in Clearwater Minnow, Ardent Apex Elite 6.5:1 w/ 15lb Hi-Seas Mono, Duckett Terex 6'6" M. I also like Natural Shad, Bluegill, and Bone colors. I caught two bass on the same cast on this bait a few weeks ago. All those teeth marks were from one trip. Love this bait in clear water! IMG_1964.mp4

What rod is your go to for jerkbaits
I've been experimenting with two: a Duckett Terex 6'6" M and a White Ice 7'1" MH. What do you all use, and why that particular rod?

Does anyone use Triple Fish Fluoro?
I was looking on Hi-Seas website and saw that they're affiliated. I really like hi-seas and wanted to see if anyone here has used Triple Fish and how you liked it. I'm mostly looking for 12-25lb test. Thanks!

Which crankbaits are your A-team when it comes to fishing certain depths .
Literally anything Strike King.

Tubes, Tubes, Nothing but Tubes
I love the Strike King 4.5" Flipping Tube Texas rigged. I choose a 4/0 ewg and at least a 3/8oz bullet weight, up to 5/8oz. Tubes tend to fall in a spiral, which is great in pitching situations. The vast majority of your bites will be in the first drop, so pitch, lift once: if there's no 'weight', reel in and make another pitch. I use my heavy duty pitching setup, which is a 7'7" H Duckett White Ice. 20-25lb Fluoro over braid because I use braid only for frogging and punching. Good luck!

Any way to keep the screw from tearing out of my hollow bodied swimbaits?
I use Strike King Shadelicious 4.5" and have had an issue with the screw tearing out the nose after one or two fish. I prefer Gamakatsu weighed screw locks. I tried the Owner Beast hooks (all 4/0 1/8oz), but the action isn't the same. Any tips?

Strike King Rodent
Great baits. Super soft, great action.

Where should I go this weekend?
I was there in May. Ramp is extremely shallow; more like a carry-in launch. Gets choked with pads at the end of May. Has some good ones in there, but you have to work for them.
