An Announcement From Me
Hey guys, some of you have noticed I haven't made a video in a while. Here's why... Let me know if you have any questions below. I'll answer all of them.

I might have an addiction problem....
I don't. It comes like that in the package. Glad to know you're paying attention.

Bassmaster Classic
His head is ALWAYS exploding over something. LOL Dude's going to have a heart attack worrying about everything all the time.
-
I might have an addiction problem....
More like the other way around! LOL

How big of a bass?
Reminder: it's fishing folks. It's supposed to be fun. The moment you get riled up because somebody didn't understand your question or didn't provide an answer you wanted is the moment it's no longer fun. You're in control of your own fun, not anyone else.

AH KRAAP. coworker stole my thunder
This is how we handle people like that at my work!

I might have an addiction problem....
The leader material comes separate. It's not pre-connected to the braid.

Spinnerbait - Tracking Parallel - NOT
I went into detail about that in my spinnerbait video I posted back in 2008 - here's the excerpt.

the horrors of hiring people.
It's a blend. For qualifications, I split that into what skills can be taught (e.g. using Excel) vs. those that cannot (e.g. critical thinking). Somebody who has a good head on their shoulders and is eager to learn what they don't know wins that category. For personality, I look to see if they're a good fit for the company culture and my team. That's a bit hard to explain, but at a high level, I compare the company's values with the candidate's and see if their goals align with the company's.

Satisfy your curiosity!
Yep, that's the wrap.

how much coffee do you drink?
Okay, let's not let this thread degenerate into the "science" of anything. This is a fun thread. I have 1 cup of stout coffee each day. Mind you, 1 "cup" is more like an 8-oz mega mug, and it's STRONG coffee (hey, I'm from Seattle, whatyadda expect?). So it's more like 4-5 cups for you medium-strength-diner-coffee folks. I've learned not to have any coffee prior to a Dr's visit, else they freak out over my BP. LOL!

Got a line question...what line do you crank with?
12lb for open water. Smaller diameter allows for maximum depth. 15lb InvizX for cover because 1. You don't need to worry about max depth, and 2. InvizX is more abrasion resistant than Tatsu. and 3. 15lb is stronger than 12lb, which is what you need fishing in cover. I don't use braid at all with crankbaits because braid has zero stretch, which is exactly what you don't need with thin, small-bite hooks (treble) that can easily rip out. You need line stretch, a medium-action parabolic rod (i.e. "give"), and a good drag system to work in concert - not to "compensate" for lack of line stretch. Plus, braid is buoyant compared to FC, which will diminish max depth.

Does anyone use Gel Cell batteries?
Yep. Lithium batteries are higher capacity the lead batteries and need a charger designed to charge them properly.

Got a line question...what line do you crank with?
12lb Seaguar Tatsu for open water. 15lb Seaguar InvizX for working square bills through cover. All straight up. No braid on anything.

sunline
The easiest way to put it is the FC material used. Sniper is a premier line made with a better-grade FC, Assassin is made with above-entry-level FC material making it a middle-of-the-pack option.

Winter 2022-23
Day 147 since we've seen a day over 60 degrees. Yes...Oct. 20th was the last day. 7th longest below 60 streak in history for my area. It was 28 degrees this morning.... Looks like that will change Saturday - 62 degrees forecasted!

Spinnerbait - Tracking Parallel - NOT
Are you using a trailer? Not a trailer hook, but something like a twin-tail plastic trailer? If so, remove it and then try again. If it runs better, then put the trailer back on, ensuring it's on perfectly straight.

Does anyone use Gel Cell batteries?
They use to be the bee knees when they first came out, but now I'm hard-pressed to find anyone who still uses them. Just curious if they're fading away. I use AGMs, and have no interest in Gel Cells. And now with lithium becoming more popular, it feels like Gel Cells are riding off into the sunset. Thoughts?

What do you all use for buzz bait storage
I broke down and got one of these: https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Plano_EDGE_Master_Spinnerbait_Box/descpage-PEMS.html?from=bassres It's big. Real big. I have 30 spinnerbaits, 15 buzzbaits, and 6 double-buzzbaits in it - with room to spare! So this does not come on the boat with me. I use to help organize my tackle store...er...garage.
