  2. Hey guys, If a top pro like KVD or Brandon Palaniuk, or big name like Bill Dance or Hank Parker could join the BassResource team, what would you like him to do? Remember, BassResource is more than these forums. We have articles and videos too. Plus there's several social channels. So we could do YouTube shorts, or long format videos, or Facebook/YouTube live shows. Then there's Instagram too. Podcasts? There's so many things we could do, but what would you like to see?

  4. Awww, we're waltzing down the semantics isle, aren't we?
  5. Seahawks win 100% when their opponent attempts a 60+ field goal at the end of the game....and then call 2 timeouts in the last 9 seconds when they don't even have the ball. FACT!
  6. I know a lot of you view BassResource as only these forums. And some of you know about the extensive and growing library of expert how-to articles on the site, as well as the daily industry news we post. But do you really know about the people and philosophy behind BassResource.com? It's a pretty elite crew, driven by simple truths and a focus around you, the avid bass angler. Learn more about it here: https://www.bassresource.com/about-us I think you'll be impressed and perhaps even surprised.
  7. Thank you sir! Glad you liked it! Why? You can watch it, right?
  8. Yikes! Been in a few myself. Made me want a cigarette.....and I don't smoke! LOL
  9. Well, first off, any "fact" cited on social media is suspect to scrutiny. I personally don't take anything at face value that's posted on social media - especially if it's some random person stating "fact". That said, I'll add my random factoid: Some dinosaurs were as big as chickens. I cite this whenever somebody says something totally random or incoherent to me.
  10. Players come and go. Root for the hometeam. Go Hawks!
  11. To add to the confusion, there aren't any industry standards for these different designations. So one manufacturer's "Heavy" can be another's "Medium-Heavy", etc. It's like clothing - sizes are approximate, but no two manufacturers are exactly alike. You have to try them on to see if they fit you.
  12. I was fortunate to get pro Dean Rojas - THE expert on frog fishing - to talk about his frog tactics he uses for fall. Enjoy!
  13. I use Gamakatsu hooks for crankbaits. Reliable. Durable. Sharp.
  14. What an odd thing to fixate on. lol! Frankly, I've been saying that for as long as I remember. I don't even realize I say it. I do not have any relatives from Pittsburgh or Texas. But my great grandparents are from Sweden. LOL That said, I've heard some people say there exists a slight, "northwest" accent and/or dialect. Maybe that's it. I guess we say "bagel" differently than everyone else, as in BEGel, not BAYgal.
  15. Take a look how I set the hook on these frog strikes. Hope it helps!
  16. You gotta throw a BIG Bait !!! - Rage Tail (Cut-R-Worm)
  17. Let's keep it on topic and answer the OP's question. For me, it's a no-go for anything Googan. On the other hand, it's hard to go wrong with anything RageTail.
  18. I use 15lb fluorocarbon. I don't use leaders. Fluorocarbon slowly sinks. So does a Senko. Braid and mono are buoyant. So it seems counterintuitive to use them.
  19. This reminds me of when Chris Lane told me about when he decided to fish the Elites. He had been an outstanding tournament angler, winning local and regional tournament circuits as well as opens. He practically dominated them. So he decided to "go pro". His first Elite tournament, he slayed 'em. Caught a ton of fish and got a really good bag on the first day. He thought, "Man, I can DO this!!" as he was heading back to that first weigh-in. He didn't even make the top 25. He said it was at that moment he knew this was an entirely different ball game. Up until then, he thought the same thing many of you have articulated on this thread. But once he was in it, he realized these competitors were better than anyone he'd ever competed against, despite winning so many tournaments previously. So unless you've been there, it's super easy to be an armchair quarterback. Also note, there are several top pros that post regularly on these forums. They just hide under different aliases.
