  1. It's not even winter yet.
  2. Oh gee, do I have a video about that? You might ask....why YES! Yes I do!
  3. @uglyasheck Yes, you can make long casts with it too. It's just when I was shooting that video, I was pitching it.
  4. Kinda funny how otherwise intelligent people can get caught up in mob mentality and come to conclusions without any facts. Kinda scary too.
  5. Oh hey, I have a video about that too!
  6. Good for him! Hopefully he remembers his roots someday and comes back to visit us.
  7. Beat me to it. I was about to say the exact same thing.
  8. Never ever EVER pour soda in a fish's mouth! NEVER! There's an artery in the tongue - not the WHOLE tongue. If you hit it, ya, he's done. But often you don't. The internet tends to take things to extremes.
  9. First time I tried it, 3rd cast I caught a 3-pounder. Been hooked on it since. Anyone that tries to tell you it only catches small fish doesn't want you to know how well it works. I use baitcasting outfits, 1/8 ounce weights. I like using the Ragebug, but have found literally anything works. I had the privilege of fishing with Shin Fukae last fall - THE guru of the free rig - and caught a nice fish within minutes of throwing it. I was using a Yamamoto D-Shad at the time. Shin took this picture.
  10. Ya, let's circle back and stick to the topic.
  11. Speed up your retrieve. Also, these videos can help:
  12. Don't forget you can enter every day! https://www.bassresource.com/giveaway/seaguar-abrazx-invizx-and-tatsu-sweepstakes.html
  13. I listen to all types of music, and I mean a very, very broad range of music. Pretty much everything except opera and hard rap. It just depends on what mood I'm in. So ya, metal? You bet!
  14. This question gets asked on these forums every now and then (I think it was asked last week), so I made this video. Hope it helps!
  15. We have so many articles and videos on proper fish care. I'm a bit surprised somebody would link to something NOT on this site. So here's a brief sample: https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/handling_summer_bass.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/handling-bass.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/hold-a-fish.html https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/fish1.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/reducing_bass_mortality.html https://www.bassresource.com/fishing/catch-release-bass-care.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/after_the_catch.html https://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/preserving_the_resource.html Note, too, in my YouTube videos I make it a point to show we quickly - and carefully - release every fish we catch. No contrived antics either.
  16. I have my work friends and my real friends, and nary the two shall meet. Both are great groups of people. But work is work, and I turn it off after hours. I don't hang out with coworkers outside of work, mainly because they know little about "the great outdoors", but also because they're on a career track and are short-term by design. People come and go, and real friendships are fleeting. My real friends enjoy fishing, camping, making fun of each other, hanging out in bars, and helping each other whenever needed. That's real friends. That's real life.
