  1. Yup, I fish them, and they work well. Here's a video I shot during July using them (you can even see one in the thumbnail):

See more, catch more, with Garmin Panoptix. Share your screenshots!
  3. Thank you! And thanks for watching!
  4. For years, we've been using Seaguar fishing lines without a single failure. I was skeptical about Fluoro Finesse, but man it works well. In an age where quality is often an afterthought, Seaguar is not dropping its standards! Thank you Seaguar!
  5. Summer crankbaiting isn't just deep water crankbait fishing. It's more than that. But most of the YouTube videos are limited to talking about just that. So I made a more comprehensive video to cover many more aspects of using crankbaits to catch more summer fish. Enjoy!

I do have it on video! I haven't edited/uploaded it yet.

That frog in the picture in my first post? Here it is in action!
  8. Who's ready for some topwater action?! They shred the 3D Rattle Toad from FishLab. Summer froggin' here we come! https://fishlabtackle.com/collections/freshwater/products/rattle-toad
  9. Oh, got it. I misread your post. Thanks for clarifying.
  10. Anyway.... back on topic.
  11. #! reason I don't use leaders. It's just another point of failure. I have many more reasons, but that's the primary one.
  12. Did you post it here? If so, what's the link? I'll take it down.
  13. We get lure questions all the time here, so I thought I'd make this video to help answer them. What are your favorite summertime lures?
  14. Oh my goodness! That had to be terrifying! So sorry what you are going through. But at the same time, when you're in deep need, that's how you find out who your friends are. Glad you have @haggard as a friend!
  15. Well....it's not a simple answer. There's a lot of different reasons that can cause a fish kill in your pond. Here's a good start to help figure out the problem: https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/fish-kills-3.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/diagnosing-fish-kills.html https://www.bassresource.com/fish_biology/fish_kill.html There are links to more articles about fish kills at the bottom of each article (we have a large library about this issue). Hope that helps!
  16. Yes, it's been crazy busy on all the lakes and rivers in my area. Hit a smaller lake last weekend that usually has very little pressure, and it too had a flotilla on it as well as an army of bank anglers. Literally had to ask several times for people to get out of the way at the launch. It's insane. Campgrounds are jammed packed too. Looks like a major holiday weekend every weekend now. I suppose the flipside is the entertainment factor at the ramps and at the campgrounds. Lots of new RV owners that have no clue what they're doing. Did you know RV sales have skyrocketed too? Want to social distance? Pick up tennis.
  17. I've seen so many people set the hook wrong on a dropshot, resulting in missed or lost fish, that I decided to make a video that shows the proper technique. Hope this helps!
  18. Couldn't ask for a finer group of people here, new and old! I wish I could meet each and every one you!
  19. It's been stressful for several months, and now it's getting worse.
  20. Actually it's more like this https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eaton-Whole-House-Surge-Protector-CHSPT2ULTRA-1/204761136 which mounts on the outside of the panel.
  21. Great googly moogly! Glad you were astute enough to find and solve the issue. My next door neighbor's house got hit by lightening. I about jumped out of my skin when it hit! It was so close it tripped all our GFI outlets. They got outside and inspected the house and called 911. They told me later that everything that plugged in to an outlet got fried. Refrigerator, TV, oven, garage door opener, garbage disposal....you name it...toast. It was then I got a whole-house lightening breaker installed. Ok, so that's probably not the real name, but it's a breaker located between the fuse box and the rest of the house that trips in an event like that, preventing all your electronics from getting fried. $110 for the part plus installation by a qualified electrician. Considering the alternative, worth the investment.
  22. Welcome home! We're glad you're here.
