  1. Oh geeze. C'mon folks, chill out. Go walk outside or something, then leave it at the door.
  2. Aaron will have the 2nd one removed Wed am. This will be much more involved. Thanks for prayers.
  3. ICAST is NOT a consumer show. It's NOT for the public. It's NOT a sports show that you're used to having near your home. Retail sales are prohibited. It is an industry tradeshow, open only to people who WORK in the industry. It's for businesses and media only. This is where most business is conducted for the following year. Large chains such as WalMart, Dicks, and Academy (aka "buyers") place their orders here. Lure and fishing gear companies line up their business partnerships for the following year. Fishing shows, TV networks, websites, and magazines renew sponsorships and sign new ones. New business relationships are made, and existing ones are reaffirmed. It's the heartbeat of the fishing industry. And oh ya, a lot of companies debut their latest and greatest products for two reasons: To generate more business and orders from buyers at the show To create consumer interest and media buzz in order to increase #1 above You only see this last part, which is really just window dressing for what this show is really all about. So this closure is more meaningful and impactful to the industry as a whole, but eventually to you the consumer late this year and into next. We'll see how this all pans out as time rolls on.

  12. Welcome Home! We're glad you're here. Part of the equation is determining whether or not a member is here to help others and contribute to the forums, or is here merely to try to get more subs. Those that are here longer and spend more time contributing to the forums and engaging others rather than posting their latest videos get more latitude as time goes on. Hope that helps! Glenn

  15. Wow! What a blast from the past! Welcome to the fray. Better late than never!
  16. I am saddened to hear that the fishing industry's largest trade show has been "cancelled", and will be held online-only. Details here: https://fishingtackleretailer.com/icast-2020-cancelled/
  17. I said that to my sister once. Without missing a beat, she replied, "You fart in EVERY direction!" LOL
  18. Ok, so a few tenths of an ounce difference. Neat.
  19. Hmmm, my bad. Thought it was just under 200. I did use it for crankbaits for a short period, and I liked it. Had no problems with it and would have kept using it that way. I just needed a replacement for the frog reel I was using and this fit the bill. Seems like a pretty versatile reel.
  20. This video explains how to use culling systems.
  21. Yes, I have the SX and have been using it for almost a year now, mostly for frog/toad fishing. I also have 2 of its predecessors, the Helios Air. The SX is easy to dial in and, just like the Air, it casts really well. Long distances are easy and smooth. It feels a little lighter to me than the Air, and is more comfortable in the hand. The larger paddles on the reel are a bonus. The drag doesn't slip on long hooksets and big hooks. It acts like a reel in the $200+ range, but costs less. I'd recommend it.
  22. See everything and navigate anywhere with ECHOMAP and LakeVu g3 mapping. See them now.
  23. He went fishing today, so yes, I'd say he's feeling his normal self already. Still waiting on the test results, but otherwise all it good.
  24. Hey folks! I've been getting a lot of questions about the dropshot lately, so I thought I'd put together this video to answer the most common questions. Enjoy!
