Actually, there's a single adapter you can add to the camera, and then all your GoPro mounts work with it. That's what I did, because there's a lot more 3rd party accessories available for the GoPro.

Actually, flouro doesn't absorb water (much) due to it's density. The sink rate, therefore, remains the same.

I have a Garmin Virb Elite with SD card and extra battery. It's yours for $100 if you want it.

Finally, finally, FINALLY they're coming to the PNW! It's been a gaping hole for....well, forever, since they've NEVER been there (yes, the opens used to come there, but never the Elites). I'll be there for sure. The Columbia can kick out some big limits (upper 20's) if they can get on them. Ought to be interesting. I expect a few dinged props before it's over. ?

Actually, the old, original design patent expired because Hobie has greatly improved the design to the point it's obsolete. In fact, they had to get a new patent on the better version because it changed so much.

They're tools. You need to use the right tools as the situation dictates. I have no favorites. Only focus on being proficient with both in order to exploit the advantages of each whenever I can. Having favorites only limits my productivity.
