  11. Jacob is a stand-up guy. Well regarded and well liked by his peers and industry leaders alike. And that boy can eat!
  12. Oh man. That's horrible. So sorry.

I know you think you have the reel tuned properly, but do yourself a favor and check everything mentioned in this video. It will put you on the fast track to better casts.

  15. Yes, it's a Zoom trick worm. Technically, it floats by itself. But once you add a hook, it will slowly sink due to the weight of the hook. A lot of "floating worms" are that way. But as I describe in the video, you want it to slowly sink. The action you impart makes it look like an injured minnow. So a slow sink is what you want.
  16. 50lb Seaguar Kanzen for the frog setup 12lb Seaguar Rippin' mono for baits with treble hooks 15lb Seaguar Rippin' mono or AbrazX Fluoro for baits with large single hooks (buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, T-Rig, etc). I'm not a fan of leaders at all. Too much hassle to tie, and it adds another point of failure (the knot). Plus you need to carry a spool of leader line with you and retie it when your leader gets too short. When I'm on the water, I want to fish, not mess with my line.
  17. Yup. Most of the YouTuber's out there are too young to know about this technique. In fact, they mostly just copy each other. I'd rather inject something unique from decades of my own experience into each of my videos; but this one is especially pulled from the 'ol archives. It will be interesting to see how many copy my video and claim it as their own idea. LOL!
  18. Well folks, I decided to reveal a technique I've been keeping to myself for several decades. I've been doing this with great success since the 80's. And now you know it too.
  19. Sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers to all affected.
  20. Awesome truck dude! Congratulations!
  21. It eliminates it. I've never had line twist issues when I follow those tips outlined in the video. That's why I made the video. Note, specifically for dropshotting, I use a spinshot hook, which eliminates line twist caused by poorly rigged bait (e.g. "crooked"). But if you rig it right in the first place, you don't need the spinshot hook.
  22. I never use braid on spinning gear, and I've never had issues with line twist. Aside from the obvious (spooling the line correctly), here's what causes line twist (note it has nothing to do with the type of line you're using).

Let's keep the topic on track to answering the OP's question please.
