  13. Hey that's my sister you're talking about!
  14. We've heard so many times through the years of people finding "great fishing deals" on eBay and CraigsList, only to discover it's a scam or they're sent worthless junk. Buyer beware.
  15. That logic doesn't work. In fact, over 200 new species have been discovered in the last 6 years - just in the Himalayans alone (http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/07/asia/wwf-eastern-himalayas-new-species-report/). With that in mind, there's just no way humans have discovered all there is on this planet. Saying you won't believe it unless you're given solid proof makes sense. I get that. But I wouldn't dismiss it. I think it's possible. If they do exist, I'd really like to understand their role in nature and the ecosystem. I wouldn't fear them, though. If they predated on humans and were dangerous, we'd definitely know about it by now. Until they're "discovered" and scientists learn more about them, they'll be the fodder for skeptics and comedians. At this point, I'm not convinced, but remain open minded. Now krakens, Krakens DO exist! You have been warned!!
  16. Watch for the big strike in this video! http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/how-to-buzzbait.html
  17. Yup, that's a fair statement. I did mine the same way as you. My advice, move it in 1/4" increments at first, each time testing on the water, until you get it close. Then move it in 1/8" increments until you find the spot you're happy with - which is subjective. Yes, moving it only that much can make quite a difference. It will be a balance between speed and handling, and your comfort level. Everything feels great going straight and on plane., so be sure to make hard turns in each direction at different speeds to get a feel for handling, before and after you make each adjustment.

That, plus any comment related to "Get the popcorn" gets removed.
  19. It's a choke lever. It was standard on all boats during that time.
  20. Large lures can be the trick, whether searching for big bass, matching the hatch or treating yourself to the fast fishing of fall’s feeding frenzy. Here's how! http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/big-baits.html
  21. Do bass spawn more than once a year? Absolutely! Is it common? No. As previously mentioned, this video explains it in detail. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/bass-fishing-fish-biology.html
  22. Make sure your two trim posts are greased. Very easy to overlook.
  23. BassResource members are not known for making new members feel unwelcome. Let's not start now. I'm sure he means well, but may not realize the way things he said could be construed as insulting. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Moving on...
