  1. It's fishing folks. Let's not get our egos all bent over it. If you enjoy a particular rod/reel/line/boat/whatever, then by all means, enjoy it, and don't be bothered if somebody else has a different opinion.
  2. I'm really glad I don't have to worry about fishing decor in the house. It's all over the house because my wife loves fishing. Woke up yesterday to my wife watching Bill Dance! ...Ya...I'm braggin'

  5. Every now and then this happens. I've seen it before, and will see it again. Somebody who doesn't understand how things work here will get all upset because they think we're doing something to them, when it reality it's a simple function of keeping things orderly, or may even be the way the site technically works. Most people laugh at themselves when they find out what's going on, but some people can't be talked off the ledge. They take it personally, raise a stink, and run away with their fists in the air. Usually they do it via a nasty PM or email to me, but this guy decided he would make a "statement" by doing it publicly. Well.... he made a statement. Doubtful it was the message he meant to deliver though.
  6. The definitive "Super Tuning" resource: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/supertune-baitcaster.html Grab a cup of coffee. It's long, detailed, and in-depth!
  7. Rainshadow. Batson makes over 700 rod blanks. Your problem won't be finding what blank you want from them; your problem will be deciding exactly which one!
  8. Correct, but that doesn't give you license to troll. To be clear, this thread is NOT about attacking other people who don't root for the same team as you. Fair warning.
  9. Not one team goes the SB every year. So by your definition, they all suck. Every team in the NFL sucks, according to you. Why are you even on this thread then? Edit: Ah, I get it. You're a Patriots fan, and spend your time on this thread by attacking fans of other teams. Way to represent. And you wonder why so many people don't like the Patriots. smh
  10. In 2002, the NFL re-orged the entire league. That's when the Hawks moved from the AFC West to the NFC West. The AFC West has not produced a Superbowl winner since.
  11. Any team with lots of talent and no leaders, is a team full of primadonnas. Eagles 14 - Lions 45. The LIONS!
  12. 9 divisional championships, all but 2 since 2004. The only thing that sucks is your memory.
  13. Ok, so if you want thinner wire, you either get closed loop, or make them yourself. I don't have enough talent to make them myself.
  14. I prefer closed because you can use thinner wire, which results in more vibration. R-bend lures need thicker wires, relatively speaking.
  15. Dangit, my wife saw this. She loves Siebert's jigs. Time to bust out the credit card!
  16. Outstanding! I see several items on my wish list!
  17. Eagles have 2 issues IMHO - #1 - Too many premadonna's on the team. When you stack a team with proven "star" players, you gamble that they'll gel and get along. Most often, the opposite happens. #2 - NFL teams have figured out Chip Kelly. They've learned how to combat his novel, fast offense. Without that, Chip is average at best. Happens to a lot of great college coaches-turned-NFL coaches. They look great for about 2 years, until the competition figures them out. Then they're yesterday's news.
  18. Ya, this one has been circulating the Internet for years. I've seen it attributed to several different cities and states. Tells me the whole thing is a hoax.
  19. It's that time of year again! Time to reveal those delicious speads you look forward to gorging yourself on during this annual feast! Deep fried turkey? BBQ ribs (dry rub or slathered in sauce)? Prime rib? Honey baked ham? Traditional turkey? Or a mega-tailgate spread for a day full of football? What do you do?
  20. You're welcome! Glad to help.
  21. If you think "finesse" means "small baits", think again. Check out this finesse technique using big baits in this video: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/big-finesse-baits.html
  22. I agree, but would even say the $100 mark is when you should start looking at custom. You could conceivably get the exact same components (or equivalent) in a $100 rod; add the cost of building it, and come out at about the same price, but end up with a much better rod.
  23. Welcome home!
