If you're just throwing worms and spinnerbaits, you need to expand your skills with other techniques and lures. Focus on that first. Reading the water is great. But if the conditions merit flipping/pitching, what good is it to know that you need to do it if you can't do it?

Open container law in my state. Automatic DUI and they confiscate your boat; plus you'll probably lose your job too, not to mention your insurance goes through the roof. Not worth a beer. It can wait.

To update your software, download the C-Monster app from the app store (search for "power-pole"). Then turn on your bluetooth on the phone, get near the boat. Find the poles to pair with, and then launch the application after pairing. The app will take you through the rest.

What year/model is your Power-Pole? My first inclination is to hook up to them via Bluetooth and the C-Monster on your smartphone and see if you can control them that way. If you've never done that, you might be prompted to update the software, which could also be the issue. But your model may not have the Bluetooth feature.
