  1. Welcome Home!
  2. Stratos makes good boats. While not known for breaking any speed records, they handle very well in rough water, and are laid out well for fishing. They're built really solid too. The 95hp is underpowering the boat. It'll work, but will leave you wanting, both in hole shot and in top-end speed. You'll also want more hp when driving in rough water, and trailering on steep ramps. BUT, if this is your first boat, 95hp is a good economical way to get into a boat. In addition, anything higher than that might be a bit much to handle for a first boat. My first boat had a 90hp on it, and that was plenty to learn from until I was ready to move up to more powerful engines.
  3. Use 50 weight, and don't fill it up all the way. Fill 1/2 - to 2/3- full. No more than that. As for the heat, it could be fine. The key is to see if the plastic cap is pushed out when it's hot, and back in when it's cooled off. That's an indication that it's too hot. If it is too hot, then take in to a mechanic. The problem could be bearings, could be brakes, could be any combination of the two.
  4. Photoshopped!! j/k Very nice! Well done!
  5. Fishing is in full swing now, and the fish are actively feeding. That's when the Yum Dinger really shines! I've been whacking them lately on Yum Dingers. Give them a try this spring. You won't be disappointed! Check them out!
  6. The qualifier for the kayak world fishing championship is coming soon! Make sure you're signed up! http://www.hobiefishing.com/?utm_source=bassresource&utm_medium=logo&utm_content=ashleyrae&utm_campaign=threemonthbr
  7. Yep, the guys above nailed it. Sticky caliper. And since it got that hot, yes, replace the bearings and seals at the very least. I had a similar issue and had to replace everything. Brakes, rotors, bearings, seals, calipers....a complete overhaul. And mine never smoked or got that hot.
  8. Oh I'd say it worked alright. It disconnected pretty quick!
  9. LOL...no, what I meant were "original files" - unedited, not resized.
  10. It took something like 53lbs to win it (6 fish limit per team). I think you had to have 40+lbs to make it in the money. Strong winds (25-35mph) on Saturday made fishing tough as it forced people to fish shoulder-to-shoulder in a few protected bays. Then on Sunday the bite just tanked, but the weather was much better. Very slow baits reigned supreme.
  11. Well first off, Ray Scott is alive and well. Second, ESPN sold it to three investors in late 2010: Jerry Mckinnis, Don Logan, and Jim Copeland. Most anglers know who Jerry is. Retired Time Inc. executive and avid angler Logan at one time oversaw Time Inc., America Online, Time Warner Cable and the Time Warner Book Group before his retirement from the media giant in 2002. Jim Copeland retired as U.S. and Global CEO of international financial services firm Deloitte in 2003. Third, I see no evidence of pros "leaving" B.A.S.S. , but I do see some of them fishing other circuits in addition to B.A.S.S.
  12. Well now, it just plain ol jumped ship! May you should talk nicer to the new one.
  13. Change your fuel filter, fuel lines, and bulb. I'd fathom a bet the ethanol did it's dirty work while sitting there for 8 months. Your lines have probably deteriorated and clogged your fuel filter.
  14. Hey folks, I know y'all took a lot of pictures and videos, and want to send them in to me for the highlight video. The best way to do that is to upload them to a sharepoint, and then PM me the link to it. Please send the raw files, and don't resize or edit them. Popular share sites are: https://www.dropbox.com/ https://www.hightail.com/ https://drive.google.com/ These are all free. Thanks!!
  15. Raw files are best, Becky. I can resize/edit as needed.
  16. Lot's and lot's of reviews of "alternative" Senkos listed on this thread: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12401-senko-faq-%C2%A0look-here-first/
  17. Works very well! It looks so real, the fish can't stand it!

  19. Yes, you may use it for those purposes. If you order from RayJus, they already have it on file.
  20. I had several people at the RoadTrip ask me how they can order their own BassResource tournament jersey. So here is the link to the order form: http://www.rayjus.com/bassresource/ Hope that helps!
  21. Yes! The Megastrike Bug and Strikeback Spinnerbait worked well at Wilson. I'm sure there will be others chiming in here, but I personally want to thank you for sending all those baits! They're awesome!
  22. Absolutely! Well said Mike. It was an OUTSTANDING BBQ to say the least! I want more. But more important than that, is the amazing dedication and commitment displayed by Pete and his wife!
  23. Check your local RV dealerships. Usually they do installs like that for a reasonable price.
