As much as everyone wants to memorialize this day, the same mantra and sentiment was prevalent over 70 years ago. But few under the age of 35 know what Dec. 7th means, or how it changed the U.S. and the world forever. A Day That Shall Live In Infamy, apparently has not. How many folks under the age of 35 will know about 9/11 70 years from now?

The Chiefs are better than most people think, as are the Bengals. Those two teams are going to surprise a lot of folks.

During the national "Night Out" event, our neighborhood kinda goes "all out" for this, asking neighborhood businesses to participate, bringing in food trucks, clowns, bouncy houses, and including visits from the local fire & police departments, complete with lights and sirens. We at BassResource were asked to participate this year, and we gladly accepted. We brought the boat to give tours and answer questions about bass fishing (we're in salmon and trout country where most folks never see a bass boat). As an added bonus, we held a raffle to give away 3 Ugly Stik rod and reel combos. We had a great time chatting with people, informing them of local fishing opportunities, and ultimately, giving away new equipment to three new anglers to the sport! Enjoy the pics!

I'm wondering how many injuries the Bears will fake this year when other teams run the no-huddle offense. Anyone care to start a pool?

I don't think Raiders are the worst. Jets might take that title this year. I don't Denver is really that good either. I look forward to seeing how they do against a team with a real defense.

I thought Denver would win, but I didn't expect a blowout, nor did I expect so many basic mistakes by both teams. It was sloppy at best. Too many dumb penalties on both sides too. Entertaining nonetheless.

It's a scam, hands down. Got a funny story on how one of my buddies scammed the scammer. Here's how the scam works: Dude on cragislist/ebay/whatever says he's selling gift card for below value. In this case, it was a $100 Home Depot card for $50. You agree, and meet dude somewhere to buy it. He encourages you to verify the value by calling Home Depot's real customer service number, give them the number on the card, and viola! Yep, it's worth $100. So, you buy it from him for $50. While you're on your way home, dude is already online buying stuff from Home Depot, using the gift card # he just sold you. By time you get home, it's worthless. So...here's how my buddy scammed him. Cut to the chase - here's my budding calling "home depot" to verify the card number. In reality, he's calling his brother who's already online, has his Home Depot shopping cart full and ready to purchase. Brother enters the card number and buys items. Meanwhile, my buddy tells the dude he's changed his mind and decided not to purchase the gift card after all and leaves. The scammer gets scammed.
