IPhone Apps
"Free" and "iphone" are two words that do not go together. LOL!! ;D The myTouch phone has over 6,000 free apps, and more are being introduced every day. You kinda get that with open source . Besides, the iphone is sooo 2 years ago. Sorry if I offended, but the iphone just doesn't impress me. Never did. If you like it, knock yourself out. It's just not for me.

Potential Record-Tying bass "May" be invalid
This is expected. No matter how legit, documented, legal, and thorough a record breaking catch is (or will be), it will undoubtably be subject to rumors, speculation, and scrutiny. And even if everything proves out to be completely 100% accurate and legit, and is declared a new record by the authorities, there will STILL be people claiming it's not a world record. People are so predictable.

The FAQ's contain info on how to remove a gut-hooked hook, and you don't need any fancy equipment to do it.

New Video! Spinnerbaits
I'm having a hard time understanding your question, but I think you're asking why a big bait vs. a smaller bait. Aside from the reasons given in the video, I find the underhand casts shown in the video are easier with heavier baits. Hope that helps!

Best Soft Plastic Worms
That's kind of like asking everyone "What's the best food"? Sorry, but your question is extremely broad and, ultimately, the answer is a matter of personal opinion. It sounds like you're a little new to the sport. Please start here: http://www.bassresource.com/beginner/beginner.html Thanks!

Culling Systems
I've used the bag-em bags, but learned from Bob Lusk at the RoadTrip that the ribbing in them can rub off the slimecoat. So I'm going to get ribless bags now. The glory bags don't hold water, and look very abrasive - much, much more than the small ribs in the bag-em bags. And you're supposed to keep your bass in them all day? Compared to the smooth livewell sides, I can't say I'm impressed. As for culling systems, I was using the Berkley system, but I don't like how the clips keep the bass' mouth open. I also noticed the colored ropes get caught in teeth and spines, often tangling several bass together. Not good. So I've gone back to my old fashioned clips with the colored styrofoam bobbers. I like the scale, however.

FLW Championship
He should have used Catch & Release. Smallies will shrink up in the livewell like that due to stress. That sucks.

FLW Championship
6lbs 6oz leads it on day 3. Here's the story: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/flw-championship2-09.html How can Larry Nixon weigh in 2 bass weighing a total of 10oz?

Towing boat question
With new tires and bearings, you should be fine. The load is really light, and they're built for heavier hauling. Just stop every now and then and feel the hubs for exessive heat. If they get really warm, or they're throwing grease, then you have a problem.

Replace your water pump!
Actually, I have a Yammaha HPDI - the water pickup is very low. The prop has to be all the way out of the water before the pickup is dry. And in the event I accidentally start it with the motor all the way off, I immediately shut 'er down. So in this case, picking up some garbage makes more sense. In fact, I just had a buddy of mine tell me he was running down the lake and the alarms went off. After checking things out, he discovered one of those plastic grocery store bags wrapped around the lower unit, preventing water from getting in.

His gun was fake/Homeowners wasn't..
It's very easy to play armchair quarterback now isn't it? Easier to blame than to help solve problems. Let's face it folks, crime is not 100% preventable no matter what you do. So it's way too easy to play the blame game on the police, judicial system, courts, laws, lawmakers, etc. etc. etc. Blaming people never really accomplishes anything anyway. All we can do is work together to improve things and do the best we can solve problems - together from the same side of the fence. Because really, in the end, preventing crime rests on YOUR shoulders - lock your car and your house; install alarms; don't place valuables in plain site in your car; don't walk in the wrong part of town late at night; be wary of potential scam artists; pay attention to your surroundings when out in public. The list goes on and on. The point is - many crimes could have been prevented had the victim taken measures to protect themselves. True, there are times when crimes happen no matter what you do, so I don't want to hear people jump in and start giving examples to prove there's exceptions. I'll be the first to admit there's exceptions. I'm just saying IN GENERAL, a lot of crimes are preventable - all YOU need to do is take precautions. Relying on the police, courts, laws, etc. is only setting yourself up to be the next victim. I think the topic of this thread is a perfect example. The homeowner took precautions to protect himself against intruders. It's horrible he had to use it, but he didn't end up a crime victim either. So stop blaming people, and look at what YOU can do to prevent yourself from becoming the next victim.
