How much does it cost to ship RODS
Well, the answer is "it depends". For example, we typically ship 10 rods in a 4" pvc tube, and it costs between 30-50 dollars, depending on how far across the country we're shipping. Obviously, for folks above, it costs less.

This wedding needed to be crashed...
Is it me, or am I the only one that noticed everyone in the wedding party was wearing sunglasses except the bride and groom? 8-) Gotta love ingenuity and originality.

Marshal thrown from boat....Biffle and Jones penalized
Side note: At ICAST, I met the marshal who was injured. He's a heck of a guy, and a member here. His shoulder was messed up in the incident, but he's healing well. It could have been much, much worse. Just thankful everything worked out well in the end. Glenn

Favorite discontinued snacks/food
Hey guys - thanks alot for all the offers to send me Suzy Q's. Muddy beat y'all to it and next week I should be tasting my first Suzy Q in about 20 years! 8-) Thanks Muddy! P.S. I'm pretty sure I've seen Dad's Rootbeer recently in my neck of the woods. I'll keep an eye out for it, and if I find it, I'll hook anyone up.

The Far Side
Yup. I even bought the books. Gary Larson is from Seattle. Shows you how twisted we are up here. ;D I read "Nature's Way", published locally prior to the start of "Far Side" way back when.

Favorite discontinued snacks/food
Suzy Q's. I used to miss "Flicks", but they brought it back. There's another, but I can't remember what it was called. It was something you bought at the store in the baking isle and made at home. It was a layered dessert you made in a glass. It had pudding-like chocolate layers and was topped with a HARD, thick chocolate topping. You froze it in the freezer. I don't recall what it was called, however. Another is O'Grady's potato chips. I think those were a west coast thing, but MAN were those good! The absolute thickest, crunchiest potato chip you'll ever have! The cheddar chips were especially good. I think they went out of business in the early 90's. DooDads... dang, I hadn't realized those were discontinued. ?

Conspiricy II
Man, some people have incredibly wild, vivid imaginations that - unfortunately - go to waste dreaming up stupid stuff like this. I mean, I don't believe everything I see/hear, but a "man-made" hurricane? That's gotta be the top of the insanity cake right there. Guys - enough of the bizzare, Ripley's Believe It Or Not myths, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories here. Seriously, it's an insult to our intelligence. That goes for the extreme "OMG! There's-a-bill-that's-gonna-take-away-our-rights!!!!!" garbage I see everyone once in awhile. None of that stuff ever makes it very far anyway, if at all. Chill out and go fishing folks. As much as I love to have you here, some of you are getting a little whacko on the rest of us. You need to get out more.
