Winter on the way
Hey Fellas: Winter is just around the corner, Baseball Season is down to final week, leaving me no sports to watch, I am not a football fan. College basketball is my other love, and my team St.Johns will probally not even break the top ten in the Big East. U.Conn. picked by the coaches as the favorite , they picked St.Johns for 14! The Chistmas crap has been up since the day after the Fourth of July this year, I guess they will soon leave it up all year round in the stores! Time to send my reels to Pflueger for a good breakdown and cleaning.Catch up on some bills and wait for the freaking snow to come and cover these mountains and the hard water to cover my favorite spots. I hate winter >

I am not getting all this return stuff; MILD RANT
I do not get the connection between a law suit in a pizzaria and taking advatage of liberal return policies for fishing equipment. I have read so many threads about fellas either being happy with the return policy or dissapointed with it, not one thread that was about suing over a broken rod

Hula Popper Presentation
I never did like the Hula Popper,, but I love the Jitter Bug Make sure you keep the rod high, and you reel with a steady cadence, and you should hear the lure kind of gurggeling on the top, leaving a v shapped wake.

Okay... Someone tell me...
More bearings does not equal a better reel. Bearing quality and placement do. This is last one of these threads I am posting in, it is getting old and nowhere for me. My Pflueger Trions get the job done without issues for 100 plus days yearly on the water, with regular maitainance and lube. I respect your joy at using 500 dollar reels and I can not have an opinion on them since I neither own or use one. I would venture to say that most of the members here would do well with any major, reputable manufactured reel be it Pflueger,Shimano,ABU or Diawa, as examples. I doubt anyone would be let down by a Revo or a Pflueger in the 100 range I doubt anyone would really be l;et down by a BPS extreme. What gets me is I understand and show a respectful attitude to those who can afford and use high end stuff. I get upset when someone asks about a non Shimano product and keeps seeing post after post reccomending that anything less than a Shimano is somehow wrong. This is a continuing theme here BPS also makes good , dependable and servicable reels the lines I have used and likes are EXTREME BAITCASTER< PRO QUALIFIER BAIT CASTER AND A NITRO I HAVE BEEN TRYING OUT parts and sevice are available as a liberal exhange policy, without spending a penny over 100 bucks. I know a Chevy is not a BMW, any idiot can see that. I do know that my Chevy S10 is a 1993 closing in on 200,000 miles and it gets me and my fishing gear where I want to go, including frequent trips to Brooklyn ( 138 miles one way) and needs minimal maitainance and gets me there safely. This is what I can afford and I ake care of it and it serves me well Same with reels there are some of us AND I AM NOT SAYING THIS FROM A SORRY OR PITIFUL STANCE, but one of acceptance can not afford to spend that much on a reel but have found products that offer dependabiltiy, good compaines who make and back them and that are servicable. THE BEST PART IS THEY DO NOT BREAK when I need em Thats it I am stayin off these I need a reccomendation or reel and rod threads, it is a big waste of time and energy

Flu shots
Hey CATT: they are really not unnatural chemicals. They are cultivated ( in egg yolks) actual strains of flu viruses, then they are killed and thier protein is what is injected into our bodies. This starts off an immunological response against that protien as if it were an actual attack by a live virus. The body in a sense then is locked and loaded and the immunological response is there if the actual viurs does enter your system. I work with inner-city, poverty stricken kids, and I am constantly exposed . I can not tell you what a lifesaver as a diabetic these vaccines are. also; yes a strain can come into the population after that years vaccines are fromulated and yes some people did get sick when live virus was used, this is not the case anymore.

Flu shots
HEy Young Mook, us older people, people with diabetese(me among them). people with COPD and asthama and people with compromised immune systems all are in danger of getting pnemoina, that is a sizeable portion of the population at risk.
