  1. 8 or 10 lb mono. I have been giving that Carbo Tex a try, since it is not supposed to absorb water and I wanted to see if it kept the fall rate constant. So far: much ado about nothing and Trilene Xl handels a whole lot better
  2. Your last name should be COCHRAN :-?
  3. I fish nothing but Pfluegers and I have to tell you to STAY AWAY FROM THE ESCHELON, it is a very poorly made reel. I cracked the graphite housing on one. Pfluegers quality line is from the Trion up You can get a Trion LP for 99 bucks at Cabelas ,Johnny's Fishing Pond and other sites for this, they are the only reel I use. I have no experience with the other reels you posted, so someone else will have to chime in on those choices.
  4. The Fishing is not slow George, I AM :
  5. I heard Fishing Rhino has his back hair cut into crop circles! ;D

  10. I was in church when he disappeared. : CHURCH hill Downs at that ;D
  11. They Vary by Manufacturer. I use a President 6735 and a Trion Spinning reel by Pflueger also in a 35 size. My partner has a Stradic and it is sized differently, so is his Cardinal. I would say if you can go to a tackle store and handle them, it will be easier for you to get an idea .
  12. Here ya go; All but one of my set ups are these http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?id=0053569&navCount=1&parentId=cat20285&masterpathid=&navAction=push&cmCat=MainCatcat20166-cat20285&parentType=index&indexId=cat20285&rid= 145 bucks: Pflueger Trion LP ( narrow spool / or wide) on a Cabela's Fish Eagle II 6'6" Med Heavy , I would suggest in action. They serve me well . Right in your budget!
  13. I think they are Tennesse Tuffy's the bottom 2 are Identical to the lure I have seen .called a Tennesse Tuffy. Here is a link he just gave me; See what you fellas think; http://tn-tuffy.com/tucoch.html This is a good one, now I am really curious to just who makes them 8-)
  14. Thanks Stringjam, I believe you nailed it. A buddy has a Tenn.Tuffy and right down to the lip they seem identical.
  15. You Hadda bring that up huh :
  16. Sorry to disagree with you Catt, long before they were called wacky rigs, they were called Jersey Rigs, and fished that way in the 70's on Greenwood Lake NJ. That's the first I saw of them, unfortunately I didn't give it a second thought and did not try them back then.
  17. Hey Fellas: Sometimes I miss the obvious questions! I was looking over my logs, on 2 different locations, no cover except they are both weedy flats, one with some boulders in it. I have never really paid attention if I am fishing with my back to the sun. What I have; Several, sunny days, between noon and 4pm, which puts the sun overhead a good part , I have been having success by casting into the shadowy part of the water, over the front of beds and when I bring the lure out into the sunny part of the water is when I am getting hits. I guess this is sort of like using the shadow/sunny line as cover, and I am hooking up there Question : From real time experience, do any of you play this transition spot like I am? Do you fish with your boat, or your body in any particular relationship to where the sun is in the sky?
  18. My log says you caught 3, 2 keeper size.
  19. What do you expect from a mook?

The ending was left open, because of the intrigue of the war still going on. It was obvious that Rick was in it for the long run, and they did it without any foolish sequels!
