I fish plastics, either by them selves or on jig heads way more than any other baits. I also have had both my thumbs broken and they do not work right, so those resealable bags are a pain for me. I store bulk home in the original bags. I bring 4 3700 boxes filled with me on trips, as the box snaps are easier for me to open and close.
  3. That Bonneville takes the prize for coolest ride. The doors on those old Bonnie rag tops are bigger than today's cars. Nice ride! 8-)

  6. Why don't you fellas put on a brown shirt for a week as see how hard these fellas work? 2 fellas i fish with work (one for USPS and one for Fed Ex) you would not believe what is expected of them and what they go through
  7. I don't think thats the problem! These 2 issues are the problem Mortgage Foreclosure:( from Bloomberg news 5/28/09) May 28 (Bloomberg) -- Mortgage delinquencies and foreclosures rose to records in the first quarter and home-loan rates jumped to the highest since March this week as the government's effort to fix the housing slump lost momentum. The U.S. delinquency rate jumped to a seasonally adjusted 9.12 percent from 7.88 percent, the biggest-ever increase, and the share of loans entering foreclosure rose to 1.37 percent, the Mortgage Bankers Association said today. Both figures are the highest in records going back to 1972. Fixed rates rose to 4.91 percent, Freddie Mac said, and an increase in bond yields earlier this week shows rates may continue rising. Unemployment rate, United States 8.6% of the labor force - Not seasonally adjusted This was for April, this month it is expected to be recorded at over 9% The result: Tighter Credit, higher criteria for borrowers to meet. Despite , what I believe was an expected 5.3% rise in pleasure and fishing boat sales, it never materialized.Boat sales and slip rentals are both down. You could get Captain Clean Cut America to hang your logo on and it won't make a difference until there is a clear way out of all this mess

  9. Hey Tom: My partner never uses swivels either. and he has about the same twist issues I have when I am using spinning gear.
  10. Elaine and I get along so well, I am grateful for that. She has 24 hour access to me and I her. I know from past experiences that people have died and I wished I had talked with them more, if she needs to call she calls, I don't care what I am doing Trust is the basis of a great relationship. 2 things hurt it more than anything 1. You do something to betray her trust 2. She does something behind your back, and assumes you might be doing the same. Sneaks cannot understand that other people do not act that way, because its all they know Either way you can't control it without work and conversation between the two of you.
  11. If you are using spinning gear some tips that help me 1. Make sure when you spool the reel that the line is coming off the feeder spool in the same direction it is going onto the reel. 2. Use a barrel swivel on the tag end of your line A barrel swivel NOT A SNAP SWIVEL A good live bait swivel or BB swivel Use the smallest swivel you can get away with 3. add a leader around 8 to 12 inches from the swivel to your bait 4. When you retrieve , flip the bail by hand, this avoids that first loop 5. Twist is inevitable, just take every thing off occasionally and let the water drag the line off your reel, trool it behind the boat and then rewind it.
  12. Every one is all full of chits and giggles this morning

  18. I would have expected at least 2 or 3 from the Garden State
  19. I do not know about upgrading but I can tell you I bought a clunker ABU, for literally pennies and Reel Mech got it to work better than a new one. I would ask him, he works pure magic on ABU's.The whole repair and cleaning came to just around 20 bucks and he got it right the first time!
  20. That says part of it. I had a wonderful family, but chose not to live right for 27 years. I had a father who worked us out of the Italian Ghetto, by working his back off, and a loving mother. This was the case for most of the fellas I was up to no good with It is time for society to realize what I did, I made bad choices, no one forced me to become an active drug addict and all the criminal behavior that went along with it. I spend a good portion of my life now trying to get other folks in the same boat to understand this It is how I got 17 years clean and became an active and respectful member of society There are some family issues, I am not naive, there are also poverty issues but if you stay a victim of that you die like that. If you do not hid behind excuses, change beyond your wildest dreams are possible What society needs is the ability to understand that many mess up, serve time, get them selves right and could use a break and a shot like I got into to return to the positive side of society.
  21. quote author=67643334273826550 link=1243790735/14#14 date=1243874833]it is made by pinnacle. the dead giveaways are the push-button logo sideplate release, the padded thumb bar and the profile. here's a pic of the cabela's salt striker and the pinnacle peak side-by-side. even the knobs are the same.
  22. Another 20+ pound bass :-/ hmmmm We have all seen pics here of 15's that look like 20's and 19's that look like 17. Who knows what they showed those National Geographic Mooks! There has been open admission right here, that stories have been started by the Crew Of Big Bass In Cali, that were false to protect spots and specific fish. I don't think there is anything wrong with that, I just wouldn't buy a car from one of them at this point ;D
  23. This is a good thing Maltese, it helped both the Lower East Side of Manhattan and many areas of Brooklyn. Once the artists start moving in , next comes the Urban Pioneers (aka Yuppies with Balzz) and then the yuppies. Once the yuppies get there the party is over, neighborhood feel is gone, all the shops sell is Tofu and Shemano reels :
  24. Thanks RW, I can only really comment on Brooklyn and Philly, both of which I have current first hand experience. Memphis is a city close in my heart, the birth place of WCHARDING and home of STAX!!!!! I hope we all live to see them overcome their problems and get out from under that corruption you are talking about. I have met many great folks from Memphis, played with a few, and got to eat some of the best ribs I ever tasted and go on a fishing trip with one of it's finest citizens!
