From my logs over the last several years, in my neck of the woods. Bass will be in Pre Spawn,Spawn and post spawn, in overlapping times from about May 18 to the end of June.The whole lakes population does not spawn on one or 2 days, but they spawn in groups rather than all at once The actual spawners and bed sitters seem to be effected only by major threats like some mook walking through the bedding area, a Northern Pike hunting in the area and a very severe storm, if the beds are shallow and can be destroyed by the roiling water The rest of the bass will be on first,secondary points and in some of the shallower creek beds if in pre spawn mode Note: I have been reading that some biologists believe that some of the female may spawn and lay eggs in multiple beds in a single spawning season!

Very great deal!!!!!!!!!!!! I use the fish Eagle II's and I got those for 30 on clearance and have one of these I got a while ago. Many of the guys I fish with have these and they are wonderfully made. I use a lot of Cabelas rods and reels and have found that a lot of trash talking that goes on around here does not reflect how good these products have served me and others.

Hey Fellas: Cant hit the lake until next week so went to my 2 favorite ponds. Water was 52 degrees still at the warmest spot. I caught a few dinks, 2 on a pointer Burley gave me and one on a Small Crank, which I &@#^! lost on the next cast. Got a slight sunburn AHHH FISHING IS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that the first correlation with the males is an assumption that should have been backed by more hard facts.unless we do not have the whole list of addendum's or research citations. Mortality due to tournaments: This is the one I have never seen a study on DELAYED MORTALITY that was scientifically done. How many caught fish die within 48 hours of being released? Would they all be floaters? What is the result for lets say 5 years of several tournaments, by very accomplished fishermen on a given body of water? This is the question I wish would be answered thoroughly! Greenwood Lake NY/NJ, was listed as one of the best bass lakes in the North East by BASS in the mid 70's , later the tour showed up and then many tournaments were held on that lake, and the numbers of LMB being caught fell and that lake has never been the same for LMB since, I would like to know if it was this fishing pressure or other factors that coincided with this. Many friends from different bodies of water , up here have similar tales, but there is no proof The evidence for a single event in Texas, on Falcon lake led to denials and suppression, and I believe this was a single mistake but I also would love to see a study of post release mortality that actually means something

Hey Gene; The same thing can be said about the other side of the coin. The tackle and tournament industries also will manipulate and hide facts to protect their incomes There were some photos here, that a member/sponsor had of a Large Bass Kill, well documented at FALCON LAKE. This kill was due to BASS not allowing for the rather large 5 bass weights in the live wells. I found those photos on the Internet then 4 days later they were gone forever, i bet both the tackle and tournament interests in Texas had a lot to do with that. You can not completely discount a 10 year, scholastic/scientific research project, and i agree some involved will try to manipulate stuff to their point of view I have been fishing and reading about fishing since I was young and both the tackle industry and the Tournament Trails, have on more than one occasion suppressed and distorted information that could ultimately case a loss of monies in their pockets Nice Link Norman 8-)

There was a withdrawal from the market 34 months before it crashed BY THE MANAGERS OF THOSE HEDGE FUNDS AND RETIREMENT INSTRUMENTS, no one , nada doing anything aboutit and The increases you say are regional, do you really think this will reverse itself in 3 months, more like a couple of years and i hope this is the beginning Last time I was at Dleray Beach it was not the hub of the middle class blue collar retirement areas. You are way too comfortable to be among the firemen,cops, sanitation workers and child care and educators , that is the group I am referring to, not people with luxury issues, I am talking about good ,hard working folks whose retirement has been burglarizedand unlike some of the arrogance shown here have to work, and some cant work at the jobs they have held for years as it beomes to dangerous for them to do so

You may be ready to rock and roll .The folks I am talking about are in their early 60's,ready to retire and a lot have lost over 50% of their invested retirement funds, this happened in a matter of months.They lost 20 years of savings and it would take at least , lets say 12 to 15 years to get it back, so they can't retire for at least 5 to 7 years now. I am sure they will appreciate those good indicators.

yea I saw that also. As you study the SEC it is a sad progression of people connected to the wealth of the folks they are supposed to be monitoring. Not exclusively, but every trip especially when to sun goes down. Ghotti nailed it when he said; Top water Frogging is the most fun a man can have with his clothes on!!!!!! My favorite way to fish , right up with jigging and trick stiks, 90 % of my time is spent with these 3 methods 8-)

The bankers. brokers ,SEC ( Madoff mess) and accountants we have currently in place I refuse to trust. I have child support, I have been paying it for 18 years by law and have agreed to continue this one last year, to help my daughter finish college, it is the least i can do. I am grateful that having this support in my child's hand prevented me from placing monies in a 401 K, as all the folks who got hired with me some 13 years ago lost most of it. I much rather have that money go to my daughters well being than into some con artist in a suit's pocket Con Artist's? The most interesting question, very few senators ( except for a handful of those on the banking committee) asked the head of those hedge funds and and the managers of 401k's was this Why were you all telling people to stay in or jump into the market, to avoid an hysterical response and further devaluation when most of your disclosed portfolio information shows YOU FELLAS GETTING OUT SOME 34 MONTHS BEFORE THE COLLAPSE. i THOUGHT THAT TO BE AN EXCELLENT QUESTION, ASKED 3 TIMES IN 2 DIFFERENT HEARING AND NO ANWER, NOT ONCE!!!! Greed has replaced ethics and the generation that has carried the SS burden for the greatest generation now has to worry and work longer because their retirement money has vanished, this is unforgivable in the face of the bad advice and inside maneuvering that went on I am not saying all accountants and bankers are evil people, just enough of them to damage a lot of folks! I have co workers who make around 50K a year all of them have lost a minimum of 100K and that is a very bad breach of trust . I wouldn't go near the market. I have a small amount, less than 25K in some bonds, they may not have soared in value, but I made some pennies and lost not one cent ,despite our companies suit geek blabbing about how I wasn't even covering inflation PS That guy is now unemployed, and should be!!! I still have my moeny, the matching funds my company put in and a very little growth, BUT NO LOSS I aint greedy and took enough schooling to know something was amiss. I learned more about how to handle money , and who to trust from a bookie I grew up with than i ever learned in school ;D

Yea I know a few good places. Actually I ate at a friend's house last night, good fried chicken and collard greens and a lot of catching up. I had to get some certifications etc done , and we opted to finish up and come right home,rather than stay for cheese steaks, lata fellas, good to be n my house

This is what FAFSA is for. It shows schools what you need and such for money and it works. It will save my sister and I about 30k next year alone. The other big thing is that people are forgetting the community colleges and public schools and trying to go to private schools that cost 35k a year to be a teacher or to get a liberal arts degree. The key is to be young and just semi-successful in high school and know about financial aid stuff before you get started. EXCELLENT RESOURCE, we use it . Community Colleges used to have a stigma when I was younger, yet today more and more of thier credits are accepted by many 4 year colleges. Here is where the issue is coming from: Book Costs Lab Costs State and Community colleges are crying the blues about tenured salaries being the same as private schools student housing and Medical treatment also in the formula Higher Education, is in jepordy of being affordable by only the upper levels of society

My point is THAT THE LESS MONEY YOU HAVE THE MORE YOU ARE GIVEN IS NOT A TRUE STATEMENT. I work at Job Corps, we have a program to assist poverty level kids get their first 2 years of community college. FEDERAL MONIES HAVE ALL BUT DRIED OUT Other than athletic monies there is a very steep difference in what MOST upper middle class kids get in the way of Financial assistance, low interest loans and scholarships on a Nation Wide Basis. That is one of the issues this administration is trying to address, other pressing matters have delayed this There is much more money available for the middle class and upper middle class than for poverty level kids. I am not making this up I gave one link to a search on google, a Netscape search would also give you good scholarly back up to this Your personal experience and your friends may be the difference of he taking the extra step and looking for more avenues. This crisis for educational resources for the middle and lower middle classes has been well documented and countless hearings were avaiable on Congressional TV reports, University Cnventions have had this as thier number one adgenda for thew last 2 years. The key to crisis as it starts going up the ladder it becomes a crisis, so as it moves from poverty level , to middle class kids, sooner or later as it goes to upper middle calss, then its a crisis

For the last 3 years EDUCATION COSTS, mostly COLLEGE TUITION has been the number one inflationary item on the list, even surpassing fuel and medical costs. We are in a crisis right now for affordable tuition for families with children, whose parents are WORKING and do not have high paying jobs. This is s simple thing to look up, even Google has much on it. CAUTION: I would stick to peer reviewed scholarly sources to avoid dooms day reporting. Hey Fishin Daddy, Yes you are very correct. Right now they have a great team, and the most underrated coach in the business. I am a bottom line guy, everyone can crow about how many Big East teams have made all the tournaments, yet none of them has made a decisive run at greatness. They had what 7 or 8 seeds this year, and nothing to show for it. With all that KY and UNC have acomplished they do not have nearly the championships UCLA has. Championships spell greatness for teams,seasons for players and coaches and on that UCLA dominates.
