  1. It ain't self righteousness it is a retort to how much Carolina Fans flap about their squad, a direct rebuttal to that
  2. Greatness lies in the collected history of a team, let see someone else take a run at the NCAA like they did. Records are accumulated over time and an accomplishment like that will stand the test of time.Who cares what the rest of you think, It is what it is Greatness is not only a contemporary notion,History means something : or idea Billy Martin once said it best If it doenst materr if we win or loose, Why do we keep score
  3. Since 1939 Teams with the most wins UNC: 1957,74,82,83,93 and 05 Kentucky: 48,49,51,58,78,96 and 98 UCLA: They own the NCAA 11 titles 10 in a 12 year span with 7 in a row 64,65,67,68,69,70,71,72,73,75 and 95 If this makes any of the UNC fans upset, GOOD, go cry in your beer>>> they are about 1/2 as good as the UCLA dynasty, which for 4 years lead in points scored, blocked shots and assists, go look that up. PS I am a St Johns , and Big East fan, I do not identify with feelings of greatness or weakness by how well the teams I root for do, as most teams I root for suck, that's what makes it so much fun I witnessed the UCLA dynasty, it was like watching Willie Mays patrol the outfield, you know you are going to live long enough to see only one
  4. Hey Snook: Wrong take on Chris, way wrong. Thanks Chis , we look at bassin from 2 different angles but some where in there we are on some kinda same plane THATS A LITTLE TOO FREAKIN ZEN FOR ME
  5. California Big Bass fishermen catch more big bass , because they live where the big bass are.Chris, if you lived in PA, and targeted big bass you would be happy to just barely crack double digits. The guys who target big fish, have a talent they have honed over years experience, does that make them the most open minded or best fisherman on the planet. Hardly, it puts you in the package/category of being a big bass hunter and a very successful one. That is not where my enjoyment comes from and hanging out with guys who are experts or better than you, then going to their style does not make one open minded. I played drums and hung out with a lot of drummers who were eons better than I was, and did I glean some stuff from them? Yes, did hanging out with them or copying them make me better NO! Practice and application made me better Same with fishing. I got chastised here by a big fish guy from Cali, because i doubted then and doubt now a feat he posted, it is impossible to do. He gave me"on more chance to apologize" it never came and never will I have learned more from your posts than his, a lot of the information you have been kind enough to share, is universal and i thank for that Bottom line; Catt,Paul Roberts, J Franco, Fish For Dollars and many others have given me far more useful and universal information. Bottom line about hunting for big fish, they gotta be there to begin with to catch em. It is an art or a talent but it is not the be all and end all of fishing. Trying to catch a 20 lb Bass where I live would be as futile as hunting for African lions or Crocodiles here. Just becuase you offer info and someone doesn't heed it does not make them closed minded , it makes them uninterested in doing things your way. Would you change your style to fish his style?
  6. It is a matter of strict government policy that: The Secret Service, which is charged with protecting the president and driving the limousine said the vehicle "offers the highest level of protection." This is from the secret service information site. Only a member of the secret service can drive or know the actual functions of the beast. White House Military Office. will be charged with limited servicing responsibilities but this vehicle is highly restricted to operation by the Secret Service, which is somewhat different than past policy. If this is considered an attack on yet another outlandish claim, please consider that it is always about unearthing the truth in reference to claims made .
  7. Certainly one of the more Bizzare, that became a thread about a non existant rescue team ( pages 4 to 5 ) that never showed up and the thread met IRENE http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1227901956/0
  8. Muddy replied to Root beer's topic in Everything Else
If I recall, it was deleted within a short time after getting out of hand. Glenn's right. Just the mere mention of "bailouts" and "big-business" makes my blood boil. Not too much productive has come out of any of those threads lately. Yo Rev, that was me that made that point
  9. Kent was sending me some jigs, he also included a ton of stuff for the giveaway project Jigs, plugs, spinnerbaiuts, plastics all kinds of stuff Thank You
  10. Muddy replied to Root beer's topic in Everything Else
That is an excellent point as it happens on the everything board a lot, and this should be reconsidered because then we answer in ways that are also contrary to policy and wind up on the short end of the stick. Most us realize that we can not control each other and when we put something up it is going to get all kinds of responses. I really believe that to expect because a Staff puts something up, that people will not react to politically charged and current issues in any other fashion. I glad you put that up it has needed to be said for a while.

You made it political , and we are not supposed to do that here. So if the last administration started the bail out, and once having started down that path not to back it up, would have been economic suicide. This administration had to follow through, just ask Kent and some of the others but to only give the first part of the package from the last administration VOTED ON BY BOTH PARTIES, to be fair, then the economy would have tanked had this administration not followed through I am not smart enough to come up with answers but there is a certain immorality of greed about a lot of what these execs are doing. THE CONTRACTS IN QUESTION ARE PERFORMANCE BASED and only a few of the AIG underwriting concerns did not tank. IF the contract says they are performance driven and retention bonus use then I dare say I would be given a bonus or retained for what these greedy jokers pulled For many people around 58 to 60 they cannot retire because of this, all who have worked hard and trusted these fools. I am glad I didn't they got not one cent on Muddies Money Since we no longer make most of our GNP form Agriculture,Armaments of Manufacturing the thing driving our economy is consumerism. and the credit line is key to that Maybe now we will slowly, since moving away from anything to fast is dangerous, going to move for more balance It is the bankers, in their Brooks Brother Suits, going to the right churches, and going to the right schoolls that have put us here THEY WERE THE LEADERS AND DECSION MAKERS for all of this. While the Wall Street mooks were begging everyone to leave their money pat when 34 months ago they were pulling thier own money out. They knew what was going to happen and now my tax dollars are going to honor contracts with men of dishonor OH NOOOO
  12. Muddy replied to Tin's topic in Everything Else
You want to be fair with AIG and their contracts Glenn Okay lets be fair. Those incentive bonuses are performance based, need I say more The retention part of it is to keep the best people in the positions, ah last I looked they went from being one of the top ten corporate powers in the world to being one step out of bankruptcy. Why keep these people in place when they are the plotters, planners and shapers of this mess. That bald headed spokesman should just change his name to KASH AND KARRY, because that's what these folks are doing. This is not about party lines here, this is about the real chasm that has developed between the rich and the poor here in our country, once again we were lied to and misguided How much of the original bail out money for these banks hit it's target of restructuring mortgages to keep folks in their houses, less than one percent Of course I got this information from Sensationalized press coverage. I pray and hope this mess gets the fifth estate off their entertainment and what ever it is they have called investigative reporting the last decade It is good to see Hamill.Kline,Lupica and Fallon starting to show some newspaper nuts again and really start digging. I wish Breslin was still around for this This is about rich folk, who dress in suits and politely say everything, not a cuss word out of their mouths but they say &^&^#$* YOU, every time they say TRUST US I am in the generation that paid the SS bill for the great generation that fought a WW and a depression, and would do it again tomorrow to thank them But my generation has had their money swiped, by a bunch of suit wearing money thugs who told all their retirement was safe in their 401K's. If these AIG guys had to sweat the next mortgage payment or make a choice between prescription melds and rent it might give them arrogant thieves a new perspective, miraculously even a sense of moral consciousness Yes Glen they might feel what us jean wearing t shirted welders, mechanics and what have y are feeling now. What Teachers, fireman, cops and firemen are all going through right now The time for real in your face investigative reporting that can lead to exposing this suit wearing , money hoarding slugs has come.
  13. There is a good possibility that you will be disappointed John. I used it for 4 weeks, Sprayed my line, on the reels every night when I got home and used it the next day. The product was used on 4 rods all with Mono less than 15 lb test, same as you John, using same brand mono.Other than you being new to bait casting is that mono really giving you any issues? The mono I used gives me no problems that need any conditioning , I used the product for a month and for me no major benefits for the equipment i was using, I cant speak for other types of lines and other tests of mono.
  14. Soft Palstic Jerks ( Fluke type baits), Rapala ( Original Floaters) between F9 and F11, Rapala Shad Raps and x raps .

  17. Generic??? Hardaloy Guides,Alconite Guides,Fuji9 Handles aare not generic stuff. Once Cabelas Puts their name on a rod it is not generic it is a Cabelas Branded rod. They are made in overseas factory like many other rods, probably in the same plants. I have used the Bps Extreme Reels ( 4 of the 7 models) The BPS Pro Qualifier Reels and the Extreme Spinning reel>>Major Trash on the last one The Bps Extreme,Pro Qualifier and Bionic Blades extensively The Cabelas Old and New Prodigy Bait casting reels the Zx Bait caster, the Older Black Widow and one Xz spinner The Cabelas Guide Pro, Fish Eagle II's and One XML extensively and can truly, from a lot of use say that Cabelas Rods comparing the ones I have used are better made than the BPS ones I have used I can also say that the BPS Extreme Line of Bait Casting reels are better, I have not tried this years model which seem to be more of an ABU type brake than a Pflueger Break and I can not give a review. The Old Silver Prodigy was a lot better than the new one ,made for them by Diawa For 99 bucks the Pflueger Trion Bait casters and the 60 Buck Pflueger President Spinning reels are much better value than either BPS or Cabelas reels in the same price range There is no fallacy in this, this is from years of use.
  18. I have not used it, I won't give an opinion on stuff I have not used.
  19. Both BPS and Cabelas will generally replace rods, even beyond the warranty point if it is reasonable. I broke an Extreme , it was my fault I pushed the insert out of the tip guide, it was out of warranty and they replaced it, I told them it was my fault and I originally wanted a tip replacement kit, they swapped out the rod I have never had a Cabelas rod fail, that's way better than a warranty
  20. The exact opposite here in PA the Cabelas in Hamburg blows the BPS in Harrisburg outta the water. \ I choose to fish some Cabelas rods over "brand" name rods, because the fish good, they last and Cabelas stands by their products.
  21. I like BPS's house reels better than Cabelas, still think some Cabelas are good I like Cabelas rods better than BPS I have my first Johnny Morris on the way, so i can't give you any experience with that one until I use it for a season I like the Fish Eagle ii's and the XML's better than the Extreme and Pro Quaifier series from BPS I have used these rods so I will tell you what I think. None of these products from either BPS or Cabelas are bad, just my personal preference after using them/
