Thanks Ghost. I found the grip to be "thin" around for my grip. Someday I would like to try both the Prodigy and XML series. I know this sounds counter to common belief, I like the XML because it is a bit heavier than the Prodigy. It's in my favorite weight/feel range. Please Post a review after you use the Prodigy for a while

Did you find the handles a little thin? That's what I noticed when I held them in the Harrisburg sotre? How do you like them compared to the XML's ?

Wait it gets worse! Last 2 seasons I have sat on a rock high up from a steep shore in a very productive pond we fish. I watch Bass pound schools of minnows and I try to figure out why they hit the ones they do and ignore the others, talk about nuts

This is the answer in a nutshell. Or donate them to kids and others in your area who may want to go fishing. Find a kid without a dad that needs a mentor, there are a lot of hands on ways for you fellas to get those reels into the hands of folks who will do the right thing with them.

I have a 4 year old Rick Clunn, the same on you bought. The reel is absolutely flawless. I use it a lot less than my Trions but the guy i got it from punished it for 2 years. The Shemano guys do all they can to convince anyone that any other brand is worthless, that could not be more from the truth
