  1. While I do not have the kind of patience for this and feel I have a better shot at a large fish in the fall, I see nothing wrong with it . I did not fish the first day at the Fork trip and I watched folks work a single fish for many hours, it was pretty interesting and very few were successful with any single fish. That lake seemed to have an abundance of large fish, and a lot of pressure on the beds. To each his own.
  2. Good thinking! I can't believe I missed yet another deletion opportunity!
  3. Again, why can't we do both? Because It would splt already depleted resources.Mike said it best that the oil companies know where it is. Let them use thier huge resources to drill for it.
  4. You were born old! ;D
  5. Its all about money besides 89% of NBA players cant read or write im pretty sure that stat is close in MLB also seein as so many are straight off the rafts ..how hard is it to tell a man he can bring his whole family back to the states with a 10 mil contract and green cards if his agent is tellin him to drink/shoot this LOL I find the new generation( 2000 to present) of celebrities and Atheletes a bunch of JOKES It is sad that they do not have as much of a grasp on how to read and write English as you do!
  6. Research is a lot more than wishing.
  7. When the price started to skyrocket, the glut was already there. The Wall Street Journal, the Senate and many other validated sources have substantiated this. Your point about it could all be used up in 3 months without replenishment is the exact reason why we should find the alternative fuel oil Drilling will accomplish very little in the scope of history, because sooner or later it will run out, as it is a finite resource.
  8. I can just see it now MAURY POVICH Instead of the WHOSE YOUR DADDY tired shows he can now go to: WHOSE A ROIDER?????? 103 shows at least>>> and as I open the envelope with your results
  9. Agreed-BUT until that time, Oil is the only game in town. Would you only fish a small part of a lake if you knew that most of the rest of the lake had lotsa fish???We need to drill for all we can get UNTIL that alternative is named.
  10. My shoulder problems due to getting hit really bad by a van years back, now complicated by a severe calcium and vitamin deficiency. I have had 3 hernia surgeries in the last 5 years. I had a bariatric bypass, and my stomach wall muscles were compromised from a gun shot wound I got in my 20's. The incisional scar keeps opening My knees are pretty blown out as are both my hands. I am blessed to be still on this side of the daises however and i have to learn how to enjoy myself given these physical restrictions. I have seen worse and I am grateful for being able to still enjoy my life.
  11. Short Sightedness is the enemy of progress. It has to start somewhere. Otherwise we would all still think the earth was flat, the sun was orbiting us and the atom could not be split and it's energy harnessed. If we stay pat we are all gonna get stuck holding 2 pair when a full house is within our reach. \ There will have to be alternatives named, investigated and researched. Many will fail, as did hydrogen some will work as did solar panels . The first steps have to be taken before the journey is completed.
  12. You can call me I'll take your money!
  13. Where have you been Investment groups have on recent times bought oil to STORE IN RENTED TANKERS , waiting for the price to go up. We have had a glut , the price based on supply and demand should have been falling. The pressure on supply from China was a ruse. The speculators were driving the market. The oil industry has storage problems right now and the spring shortages of required formulations have been created for at least the last 4 years by layoffs and under refining. A viable alternate fuel will not be found until a strong focus is placed on it. When we were Kids we all saw JFK speak strongly about putting a man on the moon, it was accomplished by focusing a lot of resources to that cause. We need the same focus now! It seems easier to do this without waiting for our backs to be against the wall.
  14. Absolutely! You think maybe they want another quarter like the last at Exxon, maybe this is what is driving the price?
  15. I always admired how Johnny Carson Retired, athletes should take a cue form him. It was time, he was at the top a gracious thank you and off to the sunset.
  16. I try , I have lost so many to gunshots, stabbings and overdoses from how I used to live that I just do not have remorse for people who put themselves in harms way I guess.
  17. That is another excellent point! 8-)
  18. Yea just like I said a few times in my youth: Honestly Officer I thought that was Oregano! : I really find it hard to believe that the best athletes, with the best trainers and top agents did not have a clue to what they were putting in their bodies.
  19. What he said!!!!!!! As for my feelings for the Yankess, as a Mets Fan They don't need a manager the need a pharmacist on that team
  20. I understand, just seeing what makes others tick. I can be pretty far removed at times. I am not saying it is good or bad. I have lost a lot of friends and family members to all sorts of mayhem , I think I am what the shrink types would called desensitized.
  21. I understand that Ed, I don't get the LOOK WHAT I CAN DO GUYS, getting hurt and dying. They are sane and free men, Oh well just seeing how others felt If it was my kid, My Italian wife would break my kid's neck before he got a chance to risk it
  22. I guess that makes me inhumane because I don't get it :-/
  23. I have a 12 ft tin boat with a 30 thrust motor, I ain't going much over0.7mph ;D For me this is not like a soldier, police or fireman who do risk taking jobs to benefit others I am talking about guys who risk their necks for any combo of: Thrills, daredevil.fame and money and get hurt or die. I ain't feelin any emotion for this.
  24. As real as Paris Hilton's claim of celibacy ;D
  25. Hey: I did not want to post this on another thread to not upset anyone. I don't get all the remorse shown when people who risk their lives and limbs knowingly and willingly and the finally loose the gamble. First off their is a certain amount of vicarious thrill seeing people act this way, then when it turns ugly everyone is sad. If the Crocodile guy kept dealing with dangerous animals, chances are he was gonna get hurt, he did and he continued and now he is dead. Evel Kenivle et all take risks and sometimes they get hurt or die, No one is holding a gun to their heads, I do not get all the remorse when people get taken out, based on their own decisions.
