What's It All Coming To?
I'm not trying to bait you into a political discussion or religious one either. All I'm asking for is a timeframe, like say from 225BC thru 52BC (arbitrary dates btw). Providing a date will not violate forum rules, or just pm me a timeframe. History was my minor in college and I'm genuinely curious. After all "those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it."

Latest Song Stuck In My Head.(Post Your Latest.)
For those with small kids at home: "I love you" Barney the Dinosaur, "The song that never ends" Shari and Lambchop, and finally "It's a small world" that aggravating ride at Disney. Each of these songs have tormented me while my kiddo's were still small, especially embarrassing catching myself humming one while in a store.

Cats.
The only good cat is a dead one: batter dipped, deep fried and served with sweet and sour sauce.

What's It All Coming To?
Please provide a time frame when the Middle East wasn't in turmoil. Knowledge is power, wisdom is greater and understanding is divine. Good night son, quit drinking that Kook... oops I mean Kool Aid

I'm Mean
Absolutely the best line in this thread!!! I was once banned from answering the phone on a military base, rudeness they claimed! HA!! I do not suffer fools, am not tolerant of the weak, cowardly or the entitled. I have and will again verbally kick a mud hole in some deserving person's arse and stomp it dry. Do not ask my opinion unless you're ready for an honest unfiltered reply. I have stopped ppl From asking my opinion on more than one occasion

What's It All Coming To?
"Those who would trade their personal liberties for a sense of safety deserve neither." Benjamin Franklin If the reports are true the gun used wasn't obtained legally, you cannot buy a firearm to give to or for someone else. More gun control laws will solve nothing, very few guns that are obtained legally are used in gun related crimes. On another note this was truly a tragedy, my prayers are with the victims and their families.
-
Wow
Prayers sent your way. Like pastor stated if you have siblings they need to know, extended family not so much. You're in a tough spot between honoring your mother's wishes and dealing with the aftermath. Prayers for wisdom, strength, compassion and understanding have been offered.

Upstate Ny Prison Break
The prison where I was employed the fence was a kill zone, and we had motion sensors, touch the fence and it set off alarms. Add to that a roving two vehicle sentry patrol on the fence 24/7/365. I actually had a pizza delivery guy try to follow me around the fence once, thinking it was a short cut to the exit. Poor guy, I blocked him in, the other sentry pulled in behind, I came out with shotgun and the other guy removed him from the vehicle. After being cuffed, searched and a background check with the C.O G. He was escorted off the property, I always wondered how many free pizzas that restaurant had to provide because the delivery guy was detained at the prison. For those wondering, he was delivering during regular business hours to some of the support staff.

Death, Taxes, And Horrible Bifocal Glasses
I'm thinking the Walmart optometrist wanted the extra cash. Single lens are wwwwaaaayyyy less expensive. I'd go back and get a single lens put in if you like the new frames. Plus I would never return to any doctor that allows you to decide if u need corrective lenses. They're milking you or your insurance, and btw its very illegal. Any eye exam will clearly indicate whether or not u need corrective lenses to read, besides that if u start using them you'll soon need them. It sucks not being able to read without my bifocals, I can tie knots fine. Retired boatswain mate, used to tie knots for a living, lol

After Buying A Side Scan.. Do You Catch More Fish?
How did you like it? On the subject catch more fish, idk. But it does help locate structure from about 100 feet to either side, I no longer have to pass directly over pass directly structure to find it. Best investment in my fishing enjoyment ever. I have used mine to help keep track of schools of both bait and hybrids. It was especially handy when the hybrids went back deep to chase the bait back up.

Death, Taxes, And Horrible Bifocal Glasses
I despise progressive lenses, but am really enjoying my bifocal contacts. I am having trouble understanding why you're wearing bifocals, they're for up close vision. If you can read print without them, why are they being prescribed?

Steel Shot With Full Choke Waterfowl Hunting
X2 what Siebert posted, idk of any manufacturer who recommends shooting steel through a full choke. You really need to pattern your gun, I know its a p.i.t.a. and shoulder too. You'll be surprised how different loads will open up or close down depending on ammo manufacturer. There is a great book called "Shotgunning the Art and Science" Bob Bruster I think. Anyway there are so many variables involved in how a gun actually patterns, I was amazed how differently my guns would shoot. My old Remington 1100 had a modified choke but patterned as extra full using Turkey loads and modified using light field loads, and didn't pattern buckshot at all. I had an extra full barrel that patterned improved cylinder with Turkey loads, the choke was so tight that it deformed the shot and I had to many flyers to pattern effectively. If I had tried to shoot steel thru that barrel it would have ruptured. The best pattering gun I had was a Beretta over under, it was back bored with extra long forcing cones, it was a sweet gun. I know that Mossberg's 835 is back bored and has long forcing cones, it should pattern well, but idk about steel shot thru a full choke. I know for awhile some aftermarket choke companies labeled their chokes according how they patterned instead of their actual measurement. What I mean by that is your full choke steel tube might actually measure out as a modified choke but patterns steel like a full.

Helix Di Gps Or Si Gp
As Wayne already stated the Si will have both Di and regular sonar. I have the Si unit and really like it. Not only can I see directly under the boat but up to 90 feet (I think) on both sides of the boat. It really helped one day when the hybrids were schooling to keep up with their position. I like the Si unit so much I purchased an 899. Now the helix is at the console and the 899 is at the bow. It's another 150 to upgrade from Di to Si and you'll have both technologies, IMO it's worth it. I think it's better to have it and not need it than it is to need it and not have it.

What Happens After A Bullet Hits A Deer?
Growing up in WV deer hunting is almost a state holiday. Rifle season is two weeks, that's it. The percentage of the population that deer hunts the first week is so high that the schools are closed. Never enough substitutes and hardly any students, it just makes more sense to close the schools. Many factories close too, just to many workers not showing up. That said opening day can sound like a range war, WV has literally millions of acres of public land and you're lucky to find a spot that only has one or two other ppl nearby. Most everyone uses centerfire rifles and about 75% of the seasons harvest comes before noon opening day. With that many ppl in the woods you'd think there would be allot of shooting accidents. There isn't maybe one fatality every five years, and I think most of those aren't accidental. Once a bullet is deformed it looses most of its ballistic coefficient, in other words it doesn't travel any more. They're tumbling and loosing energy so fast that being hit by a bullet that's passed thru a deer just doesn't happen. Military rounds are fmj(full metal jacketed) they don't deform and will ricochet like crazy, a hunting round doesn't.

Air Conditioning
I turned mine on in March I think. I don't do heat well. We've already had several 90+ days, first one in April, I was dumb enough to be fishing that day. So here in the dirty south they cone on early and stay on late, I think mine is only off for 3 months a year, Dec-Feb

First Time Deep Sea Fishing
And take Dramamine before heading out, not getting motion sickness in a car, or rollercoaster, our even air sickness its not the same as seasick. I spent the first six months in the coast guard at the rail feeding fish. Took me a long time to acclimate and I had never had motionsickness prior to being at sea. Many people had told me that if u can read while riding in a car then u won't get seasick, lol, I did allot. On another note I remember my first time out, the feeling I had when I lost sight of land the first time. It was a humbling awestruck feeling that I've never been able to express adequately, definitely a moment I'll never forget. You realize partly just how small and limited you're life has been. Growing up in the mountains like I did you had to look up to see the sky, there I just looked out that's all I saw, miles on endless miles of horizon where the sky and sea met. Sure I had been to the beach, but its not the same, it was awesome. Sunsets at sea are amazing, being at sea on a small boat, is just awesome, it definitely gets in your blood. I've had ppl ask how we couldn't find an airplane, or a thousand foot freighter. All I can say is one trip out and you quickly realize how insignificant and small you are in comparison. All the land you've ever seen or traveled on is miniscule compared to the vastness of the ocean.

Battery Not Accepting A Full Charge
That makes more sense, I was thinking 45 amps being drawn as a circuit. I was thinking input not output. Electricity is one of those things we take for granted without ever considering the science behind it. Its always amazed me that .2 Amp will kill you but .4 won't if someone is there to administer cpr.
