  1. and here is his friend. Definitely a fun group to go camping with Dude got to be good at singing listen how high his voice can get
  2. Her and her sister decided doing flips off the bunk bed was something they should try. I mean what could go wrong? So after she hit her mouth on the wood bed frame, we took a trip to the ER. Luckily no stitches, just a bloody lip, some looser teeth (she is 6 and those 2 were already coming out), and a copay (they gave us a plastic bracelet with her name and DOB on it). Second, most expensive piece of jewelry I have bought this year, considering this was my 10 yr anniversary year, that is saying something.
  3. Maybe you got tazed...
  4. http://www.tauntr.com/content/phillies-assassin-liscence-tase lol got killed on level 2
  5. About $1280, the cheapest could find them around here beyond that was $1,599. I am looking forward to getting it into the range. I am probably on a terror watch list now after visiting so many evil black rifle web sites in the last 3 weeks checking out specs and prices and reviews. While an AR based .308 can be used for ulterior motives, I really liked the design on the remington. I balanced real close with the DPMS models (especially since they MAKE the R25 for remington). I liked the longer barrel, and the Moss Oak color scheme. It also has a smaller capacity mag. I know that may be downside for some AR folks but I really do not need 25 rounds to take out a deer. If I cannot get the job done with 4, well I need to pack it up and go back to the range. LOL. That being said, I may get a higher capacity mag for the range. Have not decided yet.
  6. I have a second love to go with fishing which is about equally as expensive. That is firearms. Since I own a boat I do not have a lot of cash to put into anything new but i have wanted a good AR type hunting rifle for a good long while. Looked at a mess of models and calibers finally put my order in for a Rem R25 in .308 today. Found a place near me that would special order it at $300 below retail. Can't beat that. patience pays off every now and then. I am totally stoked, cannot wait till it gets in.
  7. Though you had best be sure her dad does NOT read this board first, otherwise you are already screwed. lol.
  8. In light of my keeping firearms in the home, and my wifes fingers being programmed into the biometric safe holding them, in 10 years of marriage, I have wondered, exactly how far onto the negative side of points you go until you approach the death penalty. I hope if/when I get there she goes into the large safe and uses the shotgun, she is not as good a shot with the handguns and who needs to suffer like that.
  9. lol...see logically, and rationally, the girl is every bit as guilty as you. Girls are not as sweet and innocent as us guys like to believe. Even as the father of 4 I can, right now, rationalize that. However, put in this guys position with his little girl being "victimized" by this young punk, I do not believe rational works. I would think grovelling would. I think accepting responsibility for your behavior (without bringing up she also had a part in it). One thing i learned from getting married, tha whole father giving the bride away thing (granted you are not married), when a father trusts you and allows you out with his girl, you are taking the role of protecting her, and looking out for her in his stead. Yeah it is old fashioned, yeah it sounds like something out of the 50's but those roles are still there in many families. He trusted you and you violated that trust. You failed to protect his little girl (or her rep in this case), even from herself. I don't say this to somehow convert you to think like him. I say this in hopes you will understand where he is coming from. I know my wife would roll her eyes at me having any irrational thoughts about my girls being so innocent and the guy being at fault but it is a guy thing. So understanding, he trusted you to take care of her and you violated that trust. Understand that, and you may do well. It will take time but in the off chance that you and her do last longer than you plan (I NEVER would have thought I would have dated my last girl my senior year), you will earn some respect from him in just having the guts to go to meet him 1 on 1 like this. Even if you fail man, good form.
  10. Yeah, as the father of 4 daughters (not yet dating age), i can tell ya, meeting with him, will get you some points. Depends a LOT on what you did wrong. Couple things, first, be ready to lose. Be ready for him to say "Don't see my daughter again!". If you are sincere about the thing, you need to accept and abide by his decision. Whatever the consequences are, take them like a man. Either way, you have lost trust, it will be a while to earn it back. Be patient, and respectful with him. Also, if yo ucan still contact her, let your girl know you spoke with her father. You do not want her thinking she is some piece of property being bartered for by 2 men. Good luck. I have been with my wife since she was 15. We made some mistakes. Her father (my father in law) is a 6' 10" union carpenter. He dresses like a biker and LOVES his little girls. Suffice to say I dreaded ticking him off.
  11. I don't care who you are, that's funny right there! I remember when that happened! LOL, I broke out laughing then started thinking, I must be evil for thinking that way. Be like a pianist breaking their fingers, or something like that for a model (no matter how annoying) to get a goose to the face.
  12. yep. Had one come at me on Wilson Creek in NC. it waited till I had waded chest deep in water. Whipped it in the head with my pole real quick about half dozen times, it got the idea real quick and took off.
  13. You forgot the disclaimer: **management reserves the right to negate, change, nullify, or suspend point system in any manner, without any notice at any time. Players are to be held accountable to know all modifications the instant they happen and will be penalized accordingly.....
  14. It is ridiculous. I mean the only type of avatar that gets me upset is one with a guy sitting down with his family and even then, unless he like totally hates spider wire and will never use it, i can over look it.
  15. I still don't understand why people are paying to see this flick. That chick is one of the worst actresses I have ever seen in my life. Because Vampires are 'cool' now. They can make people like anything if they put a boring love story in it... I'm waiting for a someone to fall in love with a zombie but they can't be together because every time they touch the zombie loses a limb... Give it time, it will happen! And what it up with the twilight Vampires!? At least growing up, if you put vampires in the sun they burst into flames and screamed until they turned into a pile of ash. They did NOT sparkle like some sort of fairy or pixie.
  16. Now it chased her into a canal, so it may be out there on the water... http://www.10news.com/news/24093805/detail.html Amongst my favorite quotes: "Troopers do not think drugs or alcohol were a factor, but said the woman may not have taken certain medications that day." and... "They added they found no evidence of a vampire."
  17. Hey clemson! I am just up the road a piece in Gastonia. Wylie is my home lake. if you ever want to swap a trip or two let me know!
  18. Another good suggestion. I could see value in both, the tent thing would be real nice in the winters. I know a couple times last year, I was out on a cold, drizzly day with a cold wind, even with all my gear, it would have been nice to hunker down on that puppy for a bit. It has that front/back door for air flow but I wonder in a 98+ degree day like today, how that would be. Heck, just to get some shade would be nice. It is not that I spend a ton of time sitting around doing nothing, usually I am up on the bow working the lure but when the kids are with me and they get their fill, having a little nook for them to play and use the toilet would be nice. BTW, I actually kept one of their training potties for them to use. Right now I have them sit in the rod locker (all 4 are girls) for some measure of privacy.
  19. LOL, that thing is awesome. Like one of those things my kids have all over the house except with ties downs and it is not pink (I have girls). Do you have one of these things?
  20. So i got a Tracker PT 175 txw. I love the crud out of this thing, spend hours out there at a time and that is where this thought came to mind. Be it winter, or the summer sun or rain, on my 12-14 hour stints on the lake some days I would kill to be able to take a breather and get on out of the sun/rain/wind for a few, grab a quick bite and relax for a second. So I am thinking anyone know of any awning, or anything out there they make that I could rig on the boat for suck a thing? I thought maybe if I could just cover the console section a bit that would be fine. I have been considering building my own with some aluminum bars and some all weather fabric but I want something that I can retract/fold up without getting in the way of fishing. Any thoughts guys and gals?
  21. Alright, you guys are ticking me off now. I have at least 4 months till I pay my boat off and start saving for one of these. These pics make me want to tear off the low end graph that came with my boat and heave it into the drink.
  22. So me and a bud head out the other day after work. Get out there, hit some of my absolutely most productive holes on the lake. Fish were hitting right where they usually are...I could not set a hook to save my life. I must have had 3 or 4 dozen great hits, and I either spazzed out (actually yanked so hard once, threw the bait out of the water, past my head, and 15-20 ft behind me, or sat there so far behind the hit that the Bass had to have been laughing at me. Though I did, for the first time, get out with plastic crawdads and hammer me a few on those. Man they were fun to fish with.

My real strong area has always been fishing weedless rigged plastics near the shore or up to 10 ft of water. The more mess (fallen timber, rocks, etc) the better. Which does me very well spring, fall, and most of the summer (at least in the mornings and evenings). Winter, they are little to no use, and the dog days of summer little to no use. The other problem is, it shuts down a whole lot of lake for me. There is a lot of Wylie that is deeper than 10 ft and nowhere near a shore and a LOT of fish in those spots. I use crank baits but jigs just seem the natural bait for those areas. Plus, walking them along the bottom, I get a great feel for the structure beneath beyond what my graph gives me. I threw some booyah jigs for a month before I even put any trailer on them. Never got a hit but did learn a ton about the bottom in some holes. Never have gotten a hit. Now with plastics, the bite I have seen is usually, extreme. With a few exceptions, the Bass tend to crush them, no much to knowing when one has your line. I have heard the bite with a jig is less obvious. I have been trying to get my head around that. I mean with the plastics I have seen the bite, the bass comes out grabs the bait and runs like stuck pig many times. What is it about a jig bite that makes it so tough to feel?

Hey guys, Anyone got a good link for visuals on rigging jigs? Jigs are one of my last great weaknesses in my tackle. I have never caught a Bass off one. With the dog days of summer coming and the fish going deeper, I really want to add them to my arsenal more effectively. I have read a mess of threads on here with them, I really just apparently do not get it. So, at the risk of sounding like a 4 yr old, anyone have any good diagrams, pics etc or even an article you would consider your Go-to spot for jig info?
  25. http://asheville.craigslist.org/spo/1795698191.html LOL, saw this on another board, Wow! Just wow.
