  1. it is said that the basses color pattern slightly changes when they are spawning, but i have caught bass in mid to late summer with a bass that has different color pattern. So my guess is that they spawn all year long. Just the majority do it in spring.
  2. Tell everyone about your best fishing story this year, or just your fishing experiences this year. Okay, since I'm the starter I'll go first. This year the best thing for me is probably when I first experienced my real buzz bait fish. It was just awesome seeing the bait buzz across the water and out of no where there's an explosion on your bait or even sometimes the whole fish come out of the water. Still the best thing about it is that the first fish was a 26 inch northern pike and right through the same area, a 3 1/2 pound largemouth smashes it again. This caused my Booyah buzzbait to bend and my skirt goes flying. Share your stories.

    rage tail toad!!!
  4. I know your pain, I'm a shore fishermen too. Since now that it's getting cold the fish are moving deeper but, from my experience on sunny day's the fish will move closer to shore during the day and move back out during the nights. I usually get most of my catches about 5-7 o' clock and the sunsets at 6:45pm now and days. So right before night fall that's when they're most active. My lure of choice is a white spinner bait with a quad(4) willow leaf blade or a combination of the willow leaf and colorado blade. Just don't give up on the lure and also try casting into dying weeds, don't be scared of it. As soon as u feel some weeds on your lure just give a hard jerk to shake it off your lure, no biggie.

  7. a couple of buddy and myself went fishing this morning, we got to the lake right on sunrise, there were a few big bass hitting topwater all around us. I tried using topwater like my Zara Spook and then i tried crawling on the bottom with lizards and worms and still nothing. I also tried the trick where, when they hit up top you cast right around where they came up and still nothing. The conditions were low winds and clear and about 36 degrees this morning any advice? i want to catch some fish before it gets toooo cold because i fish off of shore, i've notice that the bass's are moving deeper and away from shore lines also jj's doesnt work for me
  8. midday and fishing weedy spots i usually use a wacky rigged senko or try using your frog very sorry and barely make any wake when on your retrieve
  9. on top of weeds because i fish from shore, my retrieves are usually fast consist of a 3-5 light jerks with 5-10 second pause's
  10. what to do if your top water frog gets head butted? I got a couple guys tell me that its because they don't like the color but I'm not sure why would that matter. I'm just wondering to see if anyone else had this happen to them too and i can't never land a fish with the Spro frog, any suggestions
  11. 10 inch Anaconda Pitching infront of weed lines, 12-9 o clock motion 3.0 pounds flat
  12. Improvements: Topwater hook sets: I have gotten alot better at doing that, last year as soon as i hear the water splash my rod tip would go up and flying in the air already trying to set the hook. But now, I've taught myself to wait until i feel the fish or count " 1, 2". Soft Plastic's: I've gotten alot more patience in using soft plastic's instead of getting lucky bass on them I actually have a technique using them now. Still need more fishing though, can't never and will never get enough of fishing
  13. a 2 pound smallie would probably feel like a 3-4 pound LMB
  14. i'm just wondering are there any good spots this out there like around the 16 mile area heading out there this weekend. well any advice will be great thanks
  15. if u want to i'lll go jacob n i are from the same area, your about 30 minutes away from me, but yeaa if u dont mind lets go
  16. i have found the ragetail toad to be very effective fishing in light to heavy cover but one tip is that to make sure u rig the lure so that the nose is covering your hook at the tip because it snags up alot in weeds for the anaconda i haven't caught anything on it yet, maybe when i get better or one of these fall weekends
  17. does it really work on topwater?
  18. I love fishing and all but, I'm not out to look for sponsors. I'm out to enjoy myself and to enjoy what I do best and that is fishing. Right now I say that a person as young as I, or around the same age as me, shouldn't even worry about trying to get sponsors. You may be able to fish greatly and be determined in what you do but, are you mature enough to be able to present yourself as a professional figure and are you able to market yourself for the company that sponsors you? These here are my questions that I ask myself when I think about finding sponsors. You shouldn't find them, they should find you. Sorry not topic related but, just wanted to throw some thinking questions out there for the younger people like myself.
  19. Thinking about developing a club here in MI for us bass fishermen, just so we can give each other updates and reports of lakes and rivers around us here. Anyone feel the same way?
  20. It's like presenting a lure when you are fishing, if you present it right then the fish will take it. But if you don't they'll ignore it and swim off.
