  1. They work awesome as a jig trailer. I also like to flip them in lily pads etc...
  2. The guy who makes them lives 30 minutes north of me. I have fished with Skip a number of times and am in some of his videos. They are ugly lets be honest, he knows that and doesn't care. They are meant to catch fish not fishermen. They work much better in the muck and cheese, not so much in the heavy and thick pads as the exposed hook is a hindrance. If you watch his vids you will see he hardly ever fished them in lily pads. You can walk them, chug them, and hop them. They are not cheap but he hand makes each and every one of them and I think it's worth having one.
  3. They work. Caught 15 bass last week on one. I like a little wind and some grass.
  4. Black Cavitron 1/4oz with red blade.
  5. Any mention of these at Icast? Surprised that they were not released yet.
  6. Sounds like a good deal to me if its in good condition.
  7. 2 Plano tackle boxes, one small, one large. Plastic container that I keep soft plastics in. I take 4-5 rods depending on conditions. My PFD holds my pliers/line cutter. I have a stake out pole attached to my anchor trolley. I try and keep it fairly light and simple.
  8. I'm in Delaware as well. I would buzz a frog on top of the mats and if you get no takers I would punch the mats. You will get bit that way for sure. Last week I fished a nice pond in my kayak that 95% open water. Near the ramp there was a 15 yard long by 5 yard wide scum mat. First flip in the mat I pulled out a 4lber, 2nd flip I pulled out a 3.5lber. Moved a few feet down and got another. Point is bass love to hide and ambush its targets, they also like shade so if you have the weeds then by all means find a way to fish them.
  9. I like Texas rigged because I can fish faster and cover more water. They both work well though.
  10. Rage Craw, Rage Menace, Netbait Paca chunk to name a few.
  11. New Duckett reels are up on the Duckett fishing site. No lefty reels though.
  12. Here they are. He gives a little insight into the rods and his setup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ3x-yy-HyU
  13. If I miss a fish on a frog in the pads I flip a Missile Baits D Bomb in there and usually they hit it.
  14. There are much better rods in that price point. I found my Mojo Bass rods to be heavy and not sensitive. I no longer own them.
  15. Spinnerbait. Can be fished at any depth and retrieved at any speed. You can cover water quickly as well.
  16. White chartreuse spinnerbait. It covers water quickly and can be fished at any depth at any speed.
  17. Black and blue chatterbait with a good trailer.
  18. Wow, I just got 2 of them. They look great and fish great although I lost an eye on one the first day using it.
  19. Get 2 kayaks. You can have more space for casting etc... Also if you want to fish solo a kayak is a much better option.
  20. Very your retrieve. Don't just walk them slow. I had luck over the weekend burning my hollow body frog on top of a scum mat almost like a buzzbait. I don't bend the hooks out anymore. After the strike pause a second, when you can't see the frog anymore set the hook hard and hold on.
  21. I would use a black frog in stained to murky water. A black and yellow frog would be just perfect.
  22. The bass can scatter on those calm cloudy days. They tend to get in the thicker cover(pads, mats) on those sunnier days where you can target them easier.
  23. D&M Custom Baits Piranha for me. I like the 3/8oz in bluegill, chartreuse shad, and black blue flash. I like to use swimbait style trailers, Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper, Missle Baits Shockwave etc....
