When we go catfishin at night we will drink from sundown till sun up. someones wife usualy drives us. If we go camping were drinkin beer 24/7 untill it gets to heavy then we switch to rum and cokes for a few hours then its back to beer. as for bass fishing, well i shore fish(no boat) so it kinda hard to keep track of your beer while constantly casting and reeling in. and yes, if someone farts it a good reason to crack open a cold one. ;D

i just started using them aswell, and they do catch fish. im usung 4# line on an UL rod, 1/32 to 1/8oz tube weight depending on the insanity of the wind. sometimes i just real em in, othertimes let em sink, wait a bit and pop it up let is sink and so on. then you can jig it, but my favorite, is to put a little beatle spinner spin on it.

I live in kansas, so i have yet to run into anyone who has questioned fishing. "i dont like fishing" "fishing is boring" is about all you get.

40 bass a day, my best last year was 14 in 2hrs, so yea if you fished it from sun up till sun down you could easily beat it. my pond that is.

man if i had the money!!!!! a good remote controlled boat the Norcross Hawkeye FF3355P 50yrds of cable to extend its reach. wait!!! i seen this in wireless with gps and an awesome sonar, remote control boat that comes back if it goes out of range, and when the battery is dieing. and you can hook your line to it to drop it into those hard to get to holes. oh and it comes with its own laptop to view all the readings on. its currently $7000 but in 10yrs it will be cheaper. ;D i kinda want the humming bird, but no one got me it for x-mas :'(

i had to actualy think about this one. Catfishing is easy, i like the company, throw the bait in toss a few beers down, mindless chatter. Thats fun. Bass fishing is different, ive fished with the wife and tell her how far away she has to be for us both to toss lures out without hitting each other. thats actually peaceful (simple questions and she is quit) yep would have to say when throwing lures i gotta concentrate. i guess as a shore fisherman it depends on what im fishing for, and what im fishing with.

or it could be like caddyshack and you could catch that fish of lifetime, right befrore your hit with lightning ;D

forcast says, below freezing at night till wensday and 40-50s durring the day. no idea on water temp(no thermometer for it) all i know is the fish came out of there hole and were moving into the shallows last week. goes back to 40lows 60 highs thursday.

i spent last night crying :'( as a blizzard blew threw my city and dropped 2" of sleet and 6" of snow on my city. I watched as steam rolled off my pond. just 2 weeks ago it was 80*. will this effect the bass from spawning? i had caught a few pregnant bass last week.

52* and rainy, sounds misserable. 90* and raining i would go.

Mepps aglia, didnt think of that, got one in my tackle box gonna tryin it when this freakin cold front moves out. the link is a good idea, and i plan on doing it later in the season but as i said anything that hits the bottom is engullfed in algie.

I live in a condo with a pretty good size sand pit in the back, its full of bass. So far ive had one realy good day, about 9 bass on a 1 1/2" tube and a beatle spin. but for the last week i bearly manage one bite a day. Need suggestion on what to use. the conditions: from the shore, water is pretty clear can see about 3-5' out, anything that touches the bottom will almost instantly be covered in allgie(its starting to break up) and i live in kansas so wind is normaly about 20mph with 40-50 mph guests ;D any suggestions on a lure to use? also is it better to real in with the waves or against them?

I have mastered the art of catfish angling. toss the line in the water sit back and start pounding down the cold beer. (shore fisherman ofcourse) catching the fish is another story but i got the angling part down pat. ;D now im workin on holding onto a my beer in one hand while lure fishing for bass, without spilling my beer. this one will takes some serius practice to master.

I was out sunday when it was warm and the sun was out, cought 7 bass and 2 bluegill, one bluegill was 1.5lb, the bass were small, but i was using a small tube. This was on the pond out back of my condo, the problem with the senkos or anything that touches the botton will instantly be covered in algae.

I got a little tiny radio ill turn to talk radio or npr while fishin, but i cant do headphones, i get paranoid that someone or somethin is creeping up on me >

Ok gettin laid off, but bait monkey is gonna come out one last time for a few things(trebbles hooks, regualer hooks, line, and live bait through my LONG state paid vacation) and just got with the tax lady, and i might have a chance at getting a jon boat with a trolling motor on it for $100 and it comes with the trailer so i might be gettin my boat anyways, but if not.......... IF WE WANT TO FISH, WE WILL FISH

Getting laid off at the end of march, so the bait monkey has been locked in the closet, and the boat i really really wanted, isnt going to happen. The good part is ill be fishing alot more this year, just gotto do with what ive already got.

Well, march 31st is the day i get layed off so, april 1st a bunch of are goin out to a buddys grandparents farm, ride some horses to the fishing pond, and get wasted and fish all day. Only good thing about workin for the state, is ill get to drink and fish all day everyday.

Alot of the public places i fish around town are usualy crowded. I just walk up, say "Hi how the fish bittin today?" "mind if i fish this area?" Never had anyone say no, and usualy end up BSin with the guy for a few hours while fishin. ive learned were alot of good holes are, and as long as the conversation stays away from politics its pretty plesent.

I use a 4'8" ul ugly stick with 6# braid. i use it when fishing my pond, mostly 1-3# bass in it. Longest fight i ever had was about 5-6mins, when i got a 5#. That wa FUN!!!!! Have yet to see any of the bass float to the top after ive caught em.
