Curado MGL or DC?
Debating between the Curado MGL or the DC. Any opinions would be appreciated. I'm not new to casting a bait caster if that has any significance.

Beetle Spin Style Baits
I have good success with the Johnson Beetle Spin river fishing for Smallmouth. Are there any higher quality style Spinnerbaits you'd suggest that are similar to the Beetle Spin? I think the small size is why it produces so well for me.

Lures for river with current
How do you manage your line with the current taking it downstream faster. Doesn't this drag the Senko downstream and make it look unnatural? 1-5', There are current breaks, large eddies, fallen trees, large rocks scattered throughout the river. As far as speed I'm not sure. When I fish a Ned Rig I cast 45 degrees upstream and it tumbles down river at a decent pace. When I'm drifting and casting a spinner bait at the bank I'd say I'm going at a pretty decent pace. CFS is typically 4,000-10,000. It's the Mississippi so it's quite wide.

Lures for river with current
What are your choice lures for fishing rivers with a decent amount of current? I float down at a decent rate and cast quickly to the bank. Kust trying to expand my tackle box.

High End Frog Rod
I’ve heard nothing but bad things about the G. Loomis Frog Rods. Does anyone use them?

High End Frog Rod
I mainly use G. Loomis GLX’s and they don’t have anything that seems like a good frog rod. I couldn’t find anything in the IMX series of rods either Can anyone suggest a nice frog rod that isn’t as heavy as a brick? I mainly fish thick pads. Thanks

Small Spinnerbaits
I have been using a Northland Tackle Mimic Minnow on the river for Smallmouth and was wondering what other options you would suggest. I’m throwing these on a medium action spinning rod so nothing to heavy. Thanks!

MH Spinning Rod
I am looking for a high-quality medium heavy spinning rod . I want something that would be in between medium and medium heavy I just don’t like how flimsy all of the medium rods I check out are. All of the medium heavy spinning rods I find now are too heavy are there any higher end ones that you would suggest? This rod would be for jerk baits, poppers, spinners. It’s basically a rod for the river but I just want something with a little bit more of a stiffer top fast action tip so I can really jerk the baits hard. Thanks!

Shimano Citica
Has anyone here tried the Citica? I used to use the old green Curados and don't wanna spend $200 on the new Curados? Are the new one's worth the $80 more dollars or is the citica the better choice for the money?

Carolina Rig Problem
I was using a Carolina Rig with 50 Pound Power Pro Braid as the main line with 3/4 ounce wieght and 14 Pound Berkley Vanish Transition as a leader and every time I'd get a bite and go to set the hook the leader would break for no reason at all. I'd wait untill I'd feel the weight of the fish and I didn't set the hook like I was fishing a Jig just a firm set nothing to hard.

Bed Fishing
The fish at the lake I fish are starting to spawn. I've caught a few off beds using a Yellow Grub on a Dart Head. They have all been small ones though. To get them to bite I've been bumping the Grub into them until they get really aggressive and then bite it. I've seen alot of big fish that are swimming around up shalow and that are suspended in shallow water but they always spook away when I try to fish for them and never come back. Does anyone have some bed fishihng tips for me? This is my first year trying bed fishing and I want to hopefully get a big one doing it. Thanks

Walking the Dog
Another thing to remember is to have a little bit of slack in your line. This helps the bait walk better and swing wider.

Sun Block
It's starting to get sunny here and I had some questions about Sun Block. What kind do you guys use? And here's a kind of dumb question, does Sun Block make it so you don't get tanned? I wanna get tanned and was wondering if Sun Block would prevent it? Thanks

Shallow Winter Fishing
The lake I fish is in it's Winter pattern. It's been raining alot recently and the lake has come up fast and the water is muddy. There are tulles, logs, and bridge with cement footings. I was wondering what you would suggest throwing. Should I try pitching at shallow water cover during the winter? Will there be fish there? Thanks

Fish Finder Question
I was looking at buying a fish finder and was looking on line at cabelas and bass pro. Most of the ones that they have are showing the picture of the fish finder and arches on the screen to show fish. Can you change the arches so they are little fish pictures instead? Is thier an advantage with the arches? I don't understand how to read the arches so can anyone explain to me how? Thanks
