  1. It's just a rolling chassis. or The picture provided isn't new and the truck is now in pieces in a cargo box waiting to be put back together.
  2. At least you went the right direction with the Ford. The new fusions look really nice. I'd love to have a hybrid one getting 40 MPG. It'd save a nice chunk of change from not having to drive my 18mpg Mach 1 everywhere.
  3. x2 Gets old real fast buying new stuff all the time when what you already have catches fish just as well.
  4. Best guitarist behind Eddie Van Halen is what you mean, right?
  5. Awesome song. I like some metal, but mostly the softer metal. haha Like where they actually incorporate singing in the song and not just screaming the whole song. I use to listen to From Autumn to Ashes all the time, and still do every once and a while. They're great. Or were. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NlPKeYCcV-8 3 of my favorites. And just because I like to be that guy, I'm going to throw 2 more of the more current songs I've been listening to.
  6. I'd stay away from braid for learning to use the baitcaster. I'd probably use 10 lb line for you starting out it's a little easier to cast and manage than 12 or larger.
  7. I thought I remember seeing this a while back. If it didn't have such a typical scam lure name like "Triggerfish", I'd probably be less leery of it.
  8. It's the reel I learned to fish a baitcaster on, and it was alright for that but if I could go back I probably would saved an extra 20-30 dollars and got a BPS Pro Qualifier. My black max now sits collecting dust because it doesn't really work. If I spent a little more I could have a baitcaster I actually still use. But for what you're going to use it for it'll be good, mine was.
  9. Talk about timing, the day I get paid. I'm in need of some good jigs and spinnerbaits and yours look awesome.
  10. Hey it's easy finding the silver lining in the misfortune of others...right? :
  11. None really. The closest big lake will still only be about 30 dollars of gas in the truck round trip, and my kayak runs on pure elbow grease so no added expense there. ;D Plus in the summer I'll have a friend or 2 splitting the gas prices with me when going to a lake farther away and even the closer one.
  12. I use a 6'6" rod just because I found it easier to work a jerkbait than with a 7' or longer for me. It's MH with a fast taper to help with working the lure. I use a 7.0:1 gear ratio baitcasting reel to help pick up the slack faster in between jerks. This is what I like using and works well for me. When cranking I prefer more of a moderate taper.
  13. I have more success with my Rapala skitterprop, even though my KellyJ is sexier. I fish my Skitterprop like a popper. Jerk it under and let it sit for a few then do it over.
  14. I switch and can't see it being a big deal. Flipping and pitching that's definitely understandable, but just casting it doesn't hurt anything. Usually by the time the lure hits the water the rod is already switched over anyways. And even with shorter softer casts, it's not a long enough time period to make a difference. I've had bass smash a lure as it hits water and still managed to catch them so there's really no need to "learn" a certain way. Just do what feels right I think.
  15. Only 23 on a cold front. : You sicken me. ;D Nice catches!
  16. Nice thread. Going to be going down the river on my kayak tomorrow targeting smallies and I was thinking I was about to have to hit up dicks sporting goods after work to pick up some new lures for smallmouths, turns out I have most the things you guys catch them on. Might have to make a trip anyways, no such thing as over prepared. ;D
  17. I haven't fished the other rods, but the Savvy is an awesome rod for the money. I fish it just as much as I do my Champion Extremes.
  18. What is the difference, for your eyes sake, between a 50 dollar pair of polarized sunglasses and a 200 dollar pair? Pardon my ignorance I'm really curious.
  19. That's all that matters...right? :-? ;D For those of you that took time to vote thanks a lot I really appreciate it! I'm sure out of those 600 people someone managed to cheat somehow, but its worth a try.
  20. I'm willing to spread my mods out over the course of the summer if needed. I'll be picking up the Coosa tomorrow when I get off work! It's going to be a long wait until then. I'll probably just get a Werner Skagit to use for now though.
  21. Hahah give me a sec I'll post the picture up in this post. Well I'll post it tonight, it's on my girlfriends computer and she already left the house to come here, so I'll post it later!
  22. It is aggravating. They can't just have you enter the couple number and email and be done, it's gotta be name, zipcode, email, security code. If I win, I'll put names of anyone who voted into a hat, record it and post it on youtube of me pulling a name and I'll ship whoevers name I draw 2 LC lures. Which will probably be an RC 1.5 and something else!
  23. This is how I'm looking at it right now. Job+Hard work=JK Coosa kayak Asking for a favor<2 iPads It's only your name email and zipcode plus our couple number of 577, thanks a lot guys.
