You live so far up north in the woods you probably have wind chills during the summer months huh Andy ?

I left my hot water trickling out of the kitchen faucet last night so it wouldn't freeze,i guess is should have left the cold side trickle a little also because it ain't coming out.

I suck at computers and somehow posted above without finishing, but what i wanted to say was that i caught the my biggest bass of my life on my very first outing in my kayak out at some strip mine pits on a flat calm sunny afternoon which should be the toughest time in clear water like this. Try a kayak or canoe and cast from a long distance.

This is why i love fishing in my kayak. I fish some super clear strip mine pits and i have fish and turtles come up to me all the time trying to figure out what the heck i am.I used to see them flee from a long distance when i would turn on my trolling motor in my pond prowler.

Current temp is minus 11 at 6 am in Chicago.

You know its bitter outside when you go to take a shower in the morning and hail comes out.

Its bitter cold outside with sub zero temps and negative wind chills and this seems to make the rotten weather conditions seem so much more tolerable.

-13 for the temp as i type this. Blessed the hot water is flowing and the furnace is still working. In a few minutes i will find out how good my truck battery is.
