I too am obsessed.I got into the fishing game late so i guess i am trying to make up for lost time.This past year i fished before work and again after work and any free time in between.I was gone fishing so often my wife's sister took notice by commenting to her you sure he is fishing all this time, nobody can like fishing this much.

Congrats on your fish totals for the year Wayne.I about dropped my pancakes on the floor this morning when i saw you bass count on the grubs which for me is one of those seldom used soft plastics i have tucked away on the shelf in the garage.I bought a few bags of some 5" kalin grubs earlier in the year and basically forgot about them, After seeing the success you had with them i wish i would have tried them.

I had something similar to that a few years back and i self diagnosed it as internal hemorrhoids.The pain after every bowl movement would linger for hours and it didn't matter if you were standing up or lying down the pain would buckle your knees.I tried lying in the bath tub in hot water which would bring temporary relief but as soon as you got up on your feet the pain would come shooting back.I tried just about every over the counter hemorrhoid treatment i could find and the only thing that helped me was taking an aspirin for when the pain was bad and taking a couple herbs i looked up on line ,one was called horse chestnut and the other was called butchers broom,these two herbs are what worked for me .The herbs took a few days to bring relief but this and adding fruits and vegetables and a lot of water to avoid constipation is what did it for me.

I think bumper stickers would be a great idea,imagine all of us driving around with one of these plastered on the bumpers of our cars and trucks i would think it would bring a lot of new people to the site.

I have been reading a lot of good reviews on the under armour cold gear liner gloves on the Internet .I always viewed there products as being a little over priced (24.99) but they seem to get favorable reviews every where i look.I am hoping some of the guys on here who own a pair will post a review on how effective they are at keeping your finger tips warm.

Last night i started reading up on drop shotting and stumbled upon an article about an alternative called double drop shotting.How it works is you would use something like a fluke on an offset hook "up" the line and to use a jig or weighted tube on the bottom in place of a sinker on the end of the line.Two depths can be covered with this targeting bass on the bottom as well as above.Drop shotting is a new method i plan on trying next time i go out and i was curious about this method .Any of you guys tried drop shotting this way?

Maybe Glenn could come out with a fishing strength training video for this site, complete with weight training, stretching, and of course plenty of girls in skimpy bikinis to fill in the background.

Its funny this topic came up because the past 3-4 weeks i have been having a pain in my shoulder and left arm and numb finger tips on my left hand which i believe is a pinched nerve. Could this be from fishing to much? i do fish before work and after work . I don't plan on taking a break to recover because we have 4-5 months of old man winter bearing down on us.

I just took up jig fishing a couple months back and my favorite so far has been 1/8 oz green pumpkin bitsy bug jigs with tiny baby brush hogs for trailers.

If i ever caught a bass that big i would probably do the same thing, heck i would probably wet myself while i was reeling it in.

Go bigger, like the size of a canoe paddle.I went with the biggest scrap of 1/4 Plexiglas i had lying around, it happened to be 8x16 and its worked perfect all year.

I would love to catch a bass 24"or larger which would be a big bass in Illinois.This summer i have shore fished in the morning before work and again in the evening after work, so far the biggest has been a 21"and it better happen soon because winter is coming quick.

That thing should come with some shock paddles.

I made a rudder for my pond prowler out of an old trolling motor i had left.I took the top head off and the motor off the bottom so all i had left was the clamp to attach to the boat and the shaft or pipe.I then took a scrap of 1/4 Plexiglas i had lying around ,i think the size was 8x14 .I then went to the hardware store and bought some 1"conduit hangers,these hangers come with a nut and bolt so it made it simple to attach the Plexiglas.You simply attach the hangers to the old trolling motor shaft and then drill some holes in the Plexiglas to accommodate the nuts and bolts that come with the hangers.I made one this spring and its held up so far.

During the work week i am shore bound and when i shore fish i just bring one rod and i strap on one of those Berkley waist type tackle boxes.I keep a simple lure selection mostly all soft plastics (senkos ,brush hogs, jigs) with maybe a white pond type spinnerbait for something fast moving.I try to keep everything light weight and simple., of course in the trunk of my car it looks like a frigging mini bass pro shop.

I just took up jig fishing myself a couple of months ago,mainly bitsy bug jigs in 1/8 oz, and 1/4oz sizes,green pumpkin and black& blue colors.This has been my go to lure this summer because i have been having a lot of fun out fishing all my senko loving friends ,they may out do me with the numbers but i have out done them with catching the bigger bass.I'm tempted to sell off all my worms and just stick with jigs and baby brush hogs.

I fish a lot of strip mine pits that are deep and clear and have had my best luck with a 4"watermelon colored senko worm or yum dinger and a watermelon single tail grub rigged on a jig head and throw it out and jig it back in.I always use 10 # power pro braided line in the moss green color and have never had a problem catching fish even on flat calm sunny days with slow moving lures.Don't be afraid to try other colors because i have caught a lot of bass in the pits on black colored worms also.

I have a friend who hunts and he will rake up acorns and put them in 5 gallon buckets and transport them to where he hunts and dump them.Last year he found a guy who had some apple trees and was just looking for a place to get rid of all the apples on the ground so my friend took all the apples and did the same with them.

I wonder if that thing sways in the wind as your climbing it. I would hate to get up near the top and start getting stomach cramps.
