  2. cool, I just like to get all perspectives when big baiting.. might have to try 20 again on my smaller baits... are there more baits that you have seen where 25 dulls the action?
  3. is that how you are supposed to rig the bug grizz?
  4. any thoughts as to why?

both thaat bait and the skitter pop... man when theyre on theyre on and nothing beats it.
  6. i throw it with 25lb and its fine, to tell you the truth i think the action is a little more erratic with the 25lb as opposed to the 20lb
  7. I would throw them on a shimano 300series reel or equivalent and a rod rated to at least 5oz for baits over 7". For line i would throw with 20lb or better mono, fluro, or copoly or 50lb or better braids. the conditions don't matter (well they do like any other situation, i like low light) as much as sticking with it. to gain confidence and get bites you need to stick to it. I started taking only my swimbait stuff when i fished to gain confidence and catch a few
  8. gambler ugly otter!
  9. plenty of places to go within 20 mins of manch. I'm in that area a lot. Bring the boat, you wont regret it. im about 35 mins from Manch down 101
  10. where do you go to school?
  11. thats exactly what i do... make sure to find that offshore structure... humps, grass beds, wood, rock fields. make sure you bump that stuff slow, and reel as slow as possible without losing tail kick. sometimes i give short speed bursts. also pitching it into laydowns and giving a yoyo is very effective but the bait tears easily with this technique
  12. or that stupid pocket rocket rod
  13. 3-4 in the summer, 1-2 every other season
  14. isnt copoly just mono coated fluro?
  15. they work great as Ms Mini Slammer replacement tails and Rago Rat replacement tails
  16. never said it was the almighty written word of the bible... just passing along info
  17. i have both... i would recomend the extreme rod... its a little more sensitive IMO. the clarus is a great spinning rod, not so much as a casting
  18. paul if thats the fish im thinking it was caught on a rago real trout not a bbz
  19. heres what tackletour had to say: SB Rod Wars Fishing Line Summary Product Comments Fluorocarbon Good for bottom bouncing techniques but be leery of knot strength. Copolymer Good all around line choice. Nylon Mono Good all around choice for mid and topwater techniques where the stretch is beneficial. SuperLines (Braid) Good for topwater techniques.
  20. get a 10 rod rack from berkley and put it on the wall. just back off the drags and oil the reels and you will be fine.
