  1. www.photobucket.com for pics as well.
  2. Wow, what a pig! It must be nice when you let out a grunt when you pick up your fish.
  3. I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels the water's getting a little thick at times. Wow, I don't even know how you'd keep track of that many fish. Besides, y'all are cheatin'..... you're supposed to be fishing not catching.
  4. It is a very nice and interesting spinnerbait. I, for one, would think it would catch bass. However, would it catch bass better than a conventional spinnerbait? Or just the same? To a fish would it be that much more different? The arm swinging down so the blades can helicopter on the drop sounds like a good idea and it might make for a better bait for that certain situation, but past that it's just a spinnerbait. But then again, what do I know? I'm not a pro.
  5. That's one heck of a retriever you've got there. How'd you train him to catch them fish? J/K....good lookin' dog and nice fish too.
  6. Glenn, thanks for the reply. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that's found the fishing someone what tough lately. I wasn't able to get out this weekend but I hope to get out sometime towards the end of the week. Did you end up going to Sawyer, and if so, how did you do?
  7. I was just curious how the fishing has been for those in Washington state? I've been out with mediocre results. The fish that I have been catching are fat and healthy, but the bite has been slow. Drop shot and jigs have been the weapons of choice, with the jig catching the bigger fish.
  8. Nice fish...and article.
  9. RW, I found myself fishing yesterday in open water checking and re-tieing my line often because of your story. I too become lax when the fish are small or the bite is slow, but not anymore. Thanks for the story and sorry the outcome wasn't different.
  10. Here's two I caught over the summer. Both were under 3lbs.
  11. Umph....there's one. Oh, that's a pig!!
  12. I bought a motorguide salt water series TM for my boat back in 93. It's still on the bow of my boat and running strong. Back then motorguide was the way to go but now I hear, from a lot of people, the minn kota's are the cream of the crop.
  13. C@T...I have a Lowrance LMS-520c on the bow. I really love the unit. It has great resolution, easy to use, and is priced right in your budget (with out the gps module). I also have an older lowrance unit at the console, it's a lx-17m (monochrome). I can dicifer weeds better with the monochrome unit, but I have not had my 520 long enough to conclude that for sure. The color unit is definetly, IMO, better at defining the bottom (hard vs soft) and marks fish better. Not to mention the color variations add to the ease of use. I hope this helps you out some. Chris
  14. tyrius...well put. The only thing I can add to that is what do you think of "fake" bass fisherman like....Bill Dance, Bobby Murray, Tom Mann, Roland Martin...I think you get the point. They all at one point kept and killed bass. I know it was a different time, but your statement was very general. I believe, in some lakes, there is a slot limit for a reason. To better the fishery you have to take some to help the some. Just my 2 cents.
  15. 1 Al Linder 2.1 Hank Parker 2.2 Jimmy Houston 2.3 Mark Zona I always liked the Orlando Wilson show, and yes that song is still stuck in my head too.
  16. For a smallie it would have to be around 7-8 pounds, a largemouth (northern strain) would have to be 8-9 pounds. I would also go with the replica.
