Not quite sure of what normal tourney rules would be. Anyway I think I would like to get this thing together for the holiday weekend.Anyone interested please give me some ideas for which day and where. I'm really just shooting from the hip on this thing. I guess it really depends on how many people will be coming on where would have ample parking and still leave spots for none T members to park.

Well not looking good for this weekend.Next weekend. Next weekend is looking better being the long weekend and all.Don't know how these things are usually run since I've never fished one before. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do this and where it would help. Do throw in money or do it for fun doesn't matter much to me.

Hey guys was wondering if anyone was getting together a friendly tournament? My fishing partner and I have never fished a T before and are looking to fish in one.Not so much for money or anything like that.More for a measuring stick of how we do on the same pond as a bunch of other people. Looking for something in or around southeast mass. Nothing to big all we have is a 10 foot jon boat with a trolling motor.No live well or anything extravagant just a Berkley hand held digital scale. So if anybody has ant get togethers coming up please let me know. Thanx

Didn't get a chance to go out this weekend but my fishing partner went out on saturday.It was a full moon on saturday and he caught 14 bass and 4 pickrel. One six pounder (pic to be posted later).Multiple 3 pounders.They were spawning like clock work on the full moon.

Well how did the T go? You gonna leave us hanging with no pics?

Very slow out there saturday. Went out at 7:30 to 1:30. Water temp was betweem 58 and 61. Think I landed the shallow running crank right on this ones head.He was 2.5 not bad for the only fish of the day.Oh well at least I didn't get skunked.

That's some interesting information. Where could I get a copy of that report I can only see 1 side at time and am easily confused.

couple of things gave it away 1 dont think there is that much grass in cambridge mass 2 fish looked kinda big for mass

Went out on saturday between 10 and 4 . Caught 5 crappie,3 pickrel,2 bass and 1 yellow perch. One pickrel was huge but my buddy decides to hesitate while he was grabbing it and it shook off right at the boat.Of corse the big pickrel he caught he grabbed no problem.......sounds fishy. His was about 22 inches I think mine was a little bigger. We even got a pic of his check it out

Shopping in your underwear...............LMAO I would definitely go buy some new clothes and fish all day since i am limited to the time i get to fish lately.

Thanks to all for the input. As far as jigs go i always say I'm gonna give it a real chance and then give up rather quickly.Probably because I still haven't caught that first bass on a jig.I also find myself always casting to the shore line.Sounds like this might not be the best method for jigs. Thanks again

Well caught the worlds smallest bass and one pickrel. All on shallow running crankbait. Had one other hit but got off. All and all pretty slow. Better than gettin skiunked I guess. Also threw a plastick lizard. Spooked alot of bluegil. Yoy would think the bass and pickrel would be cruzzin for some easy pickins but guess not.

Heading out for my first trip despite the windy conditions. I"ll let you all know how I make out.

What kind of fishing are you looking to do? Shore, boat ,trolling motor ,gas motor? I live right down the road in swansea and know a few ponds in the area.

Good to know the leader thin was always a pain and kept me from useing braid.Thanks for the info.

Just curious do you use a leader with the braid??

Went out to mp today alone got skunked!! Only fished about 2 hours. Man I haven t fished there much since early spring. I can t belive all the weeds in places I ve never seen weeds before. places I expected to be real weedy like way down back were clear. Weird must be some weird weed cycle or something. :-? Bearly got back in with all the wind. The jerk I fish with never charged the battery and it was really weak on the way back in. Had it wide open and had to paddel to back in.
