  1. My biggest bass is 7lbs 4 oz but it was only 22 inches long, my longest bass was 6lbs 4oz and was 24 inches long. My biggest smallmouth is 5lbs 8oz and was 22inches long.
  2. Zoom chunks or a twin tail grub, some times I use berkley or yamamoto craws.
  3. Jig and zoom jr chunk will work great. A 3/8ths to 5/8ths oz will work great in a situation with current. A Hula Grub or Smallie Beaver on a heavy foot ball head will also work great if you drag it across the bottom.
  4. Bass boat Brass and glass or a rattle
  5. Jitterbug Terminator or Strike king
  6. Zoom Gycb or Reaction Innovations
  7. Winter - Hula Grub and jighead Spring - Spinnerbait or Grub and a texas rig Summer - Jig and Pig or Sweetbeaver Fall - Crankbait or tube
  8. Where did you catch it at?
  9. Kvd Which is more fun: Smallmouth on beds or largemouth on beds.
  10. Washington state: I have been getting largemouth on jigs, sweet beavers and brass and glass and some topwater. I have been getting smallmouth on sweetbeavers on football heads and top water, some also on crankbaits.
  11. Your gear alone = the price of your fiberglass bass boat. Buying 40 lucky crafts seems reasonable but you cant even think of fixing your tow rig so its brakes work and rely on the trailer brakes cause your boat and trailer cost more than your truck and house combined.
  12. Jig and pig, spidergrubs, or I use reaction baits like a spinnerbait burned past fish holding areas.A suspending jerbait is another good option because if it sits in front of a fish long enough it will hit the lure when it moves.Same thing goes for suspending crankbaits.
  13. Quality black and blue or watermelon
  14. I like to use lighter equipment and Crankbaits, hula grubs, tubes, dropshot, and jerkbaits/ topwater .There also is alot of lures that work good too. Use light line fish 2 times deeper than regular largemouth and have fun.
  15. Largemouth- 6lbs 4oz I caught it on a 5inch hula grub. Smallmouth- 5lbs 8oz Caught on a Excaliber fat free fry.
  16. Dirt bike dealer ships. They will have trailers. motorcycle was the wrong word.
  17. In adds in the paper or motorcycle dealerships( for the flat type that those boats fit on.)
  18. I got a little boat like that for fishing ponds and I have a casting deck in it and still have not fallen out.But it is a bass tender so it is wider that a Pond Prowler.
  19. To find deep smallmouth (in a postspawn/summer pattern) right now just find the thermocline,They will sit on the bottom side of it to be in the colder water. Then use a grub and jig head, dropshot, carolina rig, blade bait, or what ever they want to hit.Usually you can find them on the electronics and drift back over them with a drop shot or a grub on a heavy jig head and you can get them. If you can find them on docks this time of year try a 5inch hula grub on a 1/8th ounce jig head for a slow fall, and like Nick said dont be afraid to throw a top water.Huge smallies will go a long way just to wack a zara spook. They will also swim a long way to hit a suspending jerkbait. Hope this helps.
  20. Big crankbaits, Jig n pigs, 5 in hula grubs and dropshot stuff with bulkier lures.
  21. Well since your talking about the yakima, columbia, or snake or a tributary. find the deeper water and under water structure for smallies and grub on a jig head, drop shot, top water, or whatever that is working. For the largemouth stay in the coves and fish the deeper structure/ cover with senkos, jig and pigs, buzz baits, and if you can find hydrilla in the marina areas/coves crawl a frog over it and use a buzz bait where you can around the edges the fish it with the other stuff I mentioned.
  22. Learn to skip with casting tackle, spinning is easy but so is casting once you get it down. You wont lose as many fish with it due to bad cover.
  23. Three cast a minute would be impossible for me..When im power fishing a jig the average that the jig is in the water is 8 to 10 seconds as I hop it 2 or 3 times and make another pitch. My fish per cast ratio is probably something like 50:1 big fish (keeper in a tournament) and probably 20:1 for dinks. Most the time less than that.
  24. I guess you'd have to be more carefull, but ive seen them put through all sorts of stuff so it should be fine.
