  1. Are you throwing it on braid or mono? One way to decrease the depth it will run is increasing your line size. Say 20# instead of 12#.
  2. Happy New Year!!
  3. My mistake. I guess you can't win a tourny you didn't qualify for, DUH! Guess that makes Klein my #1 Thanks for correcting me. Would you call that a senoir moment? Guess I'm just wanting him to do well.
  4. I've heard of some strange things people due for a "buzz", but never maribou and feathers! You're livin' on the edge, edge of sanity! SHARTED!! Good one
  5. 1. Swindle. He's due for a good finish after the twoyears he's had. 2. Klein. No more seconds. 3. A Martin. Same reason as Klein.
  6. Thoughts and prayers for the family and the rest of the people affected by this.
  7. I either put a reel on it and tie off to it or wrap it around my fingers. When you wrap around your fingers you have to pay attention if you are feeling the rod or the line. I try to use mono for the line as it is the least sensitive.
  8. I too am told I should be a Colts fan. Not a Chance and if I hear one more "lord help our colts" song, I'm gonna snap. for all of the rest of the NFC fans, the road to the super bowl goes through East Rutherford. Not a pretty place for Dome teams in January. That rules out the Cards, Falcons, and Vikings. The Panthers are a warm weather creature also. Too bad. My vote for the championship game, only a week early, is the Giants and Eagles. That will be a good one. Too bad the old Mcnabb will be there. GO GMEN!!!! SB CHAMPS AGAIN!!!!!!
  9. I always string a line through it. That is the only way, IMHO< that you can tell the true action and feel of a rod. take some line with you or ask the store for a peice. Then, if you have a helper with you, have them hold the tag end tightly and then you can see the action and have them brush their finger on the line when it is semi slack. If you don't have a helper, tie the line off to something, and check the action and sensitivity. hope that helps.
  10. What I meant was your gonna have to be able to make them by the thousands if word gets out.
  11. Awesome!! I hope she works for you. Good luck and take pics to show off! Nothing like catching them on your own creations. Be careful. J. morris might be knocking on your door!
  12. Very interesting. Curious to see how it works. Great theory. Do you have a ballast weight in the bottom to keep it from rolling over?
  13. Thoughts and prayers for the families.
  14. Big jig. Make it worth the fishes effort to eat.
  15. I have had the same problem. I might fall asleep but wake up 20 times. Can't take Nyquil so I try to get up EARLY on Fri. and then after work I'll do some physical work or go for a long walk. Try to get fresh air. And the Crown on ice doesn't hurt either.
  16. Are you talking lead or plastic?
  17. Try different retrieve speed and cadences until the fish tell you what they want. Then repeat what got you the bite. The nature of the jerkbait will get bites. All of the baits mentioned are good baits. Try a couple of different ones and see what works for you.
  18. It's all about the fun and fellowship!
  19. Glad you're all right. That can be an eye opening experience.
