Racoon is fairly limited. There are a few areas that can be fished from shore though. The beach area has a few points that you can get out on. As far as the other lake, I have not been there so I'm not much help.

Racoon and Cagles Mill are close. I've been to racoon and it is a great lake. Big bas and big stripers. Not been to the other but hear some good things about it. Do you have a boat or are you bank fishing?

The Cards had it easy in that weather. They played a great game and the panthers stayed home. Look like the outcome next week will be different. Giants stadium is not a freindly place in January. Especially for dome teams. Giants and Steelers in the big one.

That' what I was thinkin'! KVD is a great person as well as a great angler. Met him a few years ago at a seminar. Spent 1/2 hr talking to him about Lake Erie. Very down to earth and polite.

If your just fun fishing, tay put and enjoy the frenzy. When it starts to die down, scoot to another area. No reason to move and risk not catching anything when they are biting and you can do no wrong.

I like these weights too but, with the Tru-Tungsten and the BPS stops go can ajust your weight on your line to wright up against the bait ( T Rig )or move it up and now you have a T- Rig with a long leader,leader without changing a thing! . I can either make it tight to the bait or usually I'll leave a little space for a bead. it makes an extra sound and I sometimes like a little flex at the head of the lure.

I use a 1/0 or 2/0 circle or octopus hook for my wacky fishing.

Most of the RC don't have rattles. They have come out with the one knocker series. The flat minis do have rattles like jake aid. Also the flat minis ahve falt sides as opposed to the round sides of the RC's. That translates into a tight wiggle for the flats and a wide wobble for the RCs.

Sounds like I might try some more brands next year. I do use pline quick a bit and am happy with that. I just thought the price on the vicious was good so I tired it. Maybe if I used it more it would have shown it's true colors?

Congrats Gman. I have to ask being fairly new here, where is the dividing line between the team pmaper and team depends?

I bought some for a trip to Erie last fall and I was impressed. I got 6 + 8 # and had no problems. It actually performed better than vanish of the same # tests. That is the only time I have used it but plan on uing it again this year.
