  1. Is this just for short trips or long trips? For long trips I use two 4" pvc pipes in the back of my truck. I can get ten to twelve rods in there without reels. I only use that for long trips without the boat. In your truck, do you have a topper or taneu cover? They make things to attach to those things that will support your rods. In a car, I have no ideas.
  2. Gotta have support. Tighty whities rule!
  3. Do you have a boat cover? If so, you can rig a set of contacts hooked up to a light switch in a concealed location, (inside the building) and on the business end put a 120db alarm horn and a flood light. If someone tries to get under the cover, the alarm sounds and will wake up every neighbor within a half block. I rigged one up inside my garage as we were having a bunch of break ins this summer. The key is to remember to turn it off before you go in.

NASCAR changed for me in 2001. #3 FOREVER!!!!!
  5. If he could just win a tournament..... :-? Amen. This will be his year. He has had a lot of things that would be hard for anyone to deal with, let alone being in the public eye. My best goes out to him and the family. He is one of a kind, but he is as real as it gets.
  6. X2 When I was 39 had something similar plus shortness of breath. Had a few doctors look and found nothing. They were saying acid reflux. Found one doctor to listen to me and he found a 95%+ blockage of the right coranary artery. Glad your docs found it and was nothing serious. a couple of handfuls of peanuts and some gatoraide get me through the day usually.

  10. Congrats! That's what I do also if I want to learn a new thing. Limit myself to that one thing. Otherwise I get too caught up in catching instead of learning. Good job! Cute kid too. Just wait until he gets his first baitcaster fish.
  11. Welcome Alan!

    Welcome!
  13. I'm still sane. Last Saturday i went to my favorite tackle store and cried for two hours over all the pretty baits that are sooooo lonely. Then went and drove by the lake and cried for another 1/2 hour because I couldn't see water. Only blowing snow. All the trees are dead, the geese have flown south, etc, etc. Then I came home and was gonna work in the garage, but it was 9 degrees. that's okay. I really don't NEED fishing to maintain sanity. Did I really say that? OMG! I must be worse off than I think. I'll move to Texas and I'll fit right in. :D
  14. There are far too many bass in these lakes. No room for our boats, much less "Ya'll Nawtherners" boats too. LOL b So much for buying from ***! ;) We have a natural lake up here that is 3000 acres and over 2/3 of that is not productive. Imagine 150 boat tourny on there. Looks like walmart on Christmas eve.

  17. [ A bait doesn 't have to mimic anything a fish eats on a regular basis, the bait only has to move like if it were "alive" and an easy prey in order to catch fish.
  18. I think the baitmonkey has us all brain washed to beleive "sale" is saving money. When I see SALE I run for cover because I know the baitgorilla is on his way!
  19. X2 My wife has fished as my partner in team and club events for the past ten years. She has out fished me and has won some mney in the club stuff. For the most part she is welcomed by other competitors and treated very well. i agree that it would be nice if more women fished. Her favorite line was "pleasure doing business with ya boys." as she got her checks. Everyone except a few got a big laugh out of that.

  22. Nice job! I like that trap!
  23. I would have to say my favorite way to fish is flippin' matted vegetation. My teeth start to sweet when I see an exspance of lily pads or matted milfoil, etc...! 65# braid, 3/4 to 1 1/4 oz pegged bullet weight, 8' flippin stick, 5/0 BMFH and I'm a happy man. I love it when I pitch in there and the pads stir and my line takes off. OH YEA!!!!!
