I have always been told that mineral oil over time will react with the soft plastic baits and turn them hard. Is that not true.

I would have to live in my truck if I went to BPS that much. That is providing I could afford my truck. I would have to park in their lot cause I couldn't afford gas.

My vision of rootbeer is a brownish back, white or bone belly with light grn flake. That color I would use in a clear to lightly stained water. The tanic or brown colored water can somwtimes be considered clear at times. When I encounter that any bait I use will have an orange belly. I will go as far as using a Sharpie and color the belly myself. The rootbeer/chartruese baits are like what the others have said, mainly for your more stained waters. Just my 2 cents.

Interesting, I use worm oil from Lure Craft. Mix it with concentrated scent oils of whatever flavor you want. The garlic I did will knock your socks off.
