Yes, I have been there, once. Had a tourny there this year and it was my first trip. We did not fair too well, but a lot of others caught fish. We blanked. Oh well, that is why they call it fishing instead of catching. LOL
  6. Thatr would be awesome PA. Go for it man!

I like the concept, but I think I need to work on it a little. I am north of Muncie about 20 miles.

  18. Thanks for the kind words guys. It means a lot coming from guys that I think are great painters and bait makers. I have another batch on the wheel and will post pics later tonite of the second round. Thanks agian.
  19. Nice job Stringjam!
  20. Used a 1/4 oz version down at Wheeler recently and caught upwards of 30-40 fish on one bait. It was stretched, bent, pulled and twisted, but never broke. I'll spend the little extra.
  21. X2 But I do like a BMFH too.
  22. I just got an airbrush that I purchased from geckert. Thanks again geckert. I spent part of a day over at idluv2fish's workshop trying to learn as much as I could in that short time. Thanks a ton idluv2fish! This is a pic of the first ones that I have done in my own shop. They are not as nice as most on here but I'm kinda proud of them. Tell me what ya think.
  23. Great work! I have seen some of his work in person and the pics do not do them justice!
  24. The mojo rig that I am accustom to is like VA said, a small version of the Carolina rig. Great in the weeds and cover. Put a trick worm or a 4" lizard on the end.
  25. www.bearsbaits.com www.lurecraft.com www.fishingworld.com/M-F-Manufacturing www.del-mart.com Those are the main places to get your supplies. The real inexpensive way to go is to make your own molds. Glue a bait down to a flat surface, cover it good with plaster of paris, (POP), and then bake it to "cure" the POP. Seal it with a 50/50 mix of Elmers glue and water. And then you have a mold. Aluminum is more expensive. They give you great lures providing it is designed right. There are open sided, 2 sided, and injected type molds. In my opinion, Bears is the place to go. They have great customer service and also a plastic forum for your questions. They also do custom stuff. Think of a bait that you use all the time and that is where you may want to start. senko's or "sticks" are real popular. Good luck and welcome to the "sickness".
