water moccasin stories
I don't trust their aggressive nature and we have more than our share in Florida. I do not freshwater fish at night! A small baby is as poisonous as a full grown adult and dangerous after death due to the head reflex action.

Mutual Fund Question
Need to read everything, some no load funds are back loaded when you sell within a designated period. I know I might do better with stocks now but being retired I choose a bit less risk and do not want to take the time to do research...I'd rather fish. I've done the low cost on line trading before and it's fine, but I went back to a full service brokerage, I like a final sounding board from a professional before I pull the trigger. One has to know their own comfort level.

I got jumped today
I have owned at least 20 sets of irons over the last 20 years, have 4 in the garage right now, golfers are always looking for the edge. I have owned several sets of Pings, Callaways, Tommy Armour, Lynx, Zevo and custom just to name a few, blades, perimeter weighted, mid and oversize, steel and graphite you name it.....lol. I always thought the Ping Eye 2 was the easiest club I ever hit, I liked them, but no better than some others I have had I go back to my Callaway S2H2 with a memphis 10 shaft every time that I bought back in 1988, best and longest I have owned but long irons can be difficult to hit. It boils down to personal preference, you can't buy a swing. Wish you well with the Callaways, I'm sure you will love them.

Mutual Fund Question
Been investing stocks and mutual funds for about 30 years, at present I have over 60 funds, being 65 I have gone to managed accounts rather than spending the time to do it myself. I would not give anyone advice on any individual stock or funds for 2 reasons, 1. I'm not a licensed professional and 2. I only gamble with my own money and would feel terrible over a recommendation that didn't pan out for someone else. Load vs no load, only thing that really matters is the net gain/loss, no loads can look more appealing but I would never pass up a good fund just because of the front end load, your paying fees and maintenance whether you realize it or not. Only real advice I would give is to have a strategy and do lots of homework( and hope you understand all that you are reading), better yet get professional help. A good broker is putting in more than 40 hours at the office, reading everything and they aren't always right.

Bassin' Vernacular
In Michigan I never heard of these terms till I moved to Florida. Slot Shorties Slobs Crappies were Calico bass in Michigan.

Needle Nose Pliers with Lanyard
Those are not the pliers, pliers I have in mind have a side cut and holes, very light. I no longer use a scissors, I lose em and saltwater kills them and I don't like a clean cut. I use a bic lighter for braid, it's fast and puts a little nib on the end of the tag line, knot won't pull thru.

Needle Nose Pliers with Lanyard
Stainless steel is a nickel alloy and not all stainless products will be equal in ni content and corrosion resistance, I agree that many stainless pliers do not hold up well. For my freshwater I use a $2.00 pair that work fine, lose em just buy a new pair. Saltwater different story, I was in the tackle shop yesterday and the clerk showed me his personal pair of aluminum pliers, most impressive I have seen to date, they don't sell them in that store and I missed the brand name but I will get the name........only $30, these I want. Extreme light weight, on a lanyard, side cutting tool for braid and replaceable blades.

The ratings on a rod....................
With the ratings being identical and the only difference is length the longer rod is heavier with a thicker blank and imo has more spine to it. We fish a sea wall and when I'm using my 7' rod I have hard time flipping the fish over the wall, when I'm using the identical rod in the 7'6 length I can flip them up much easier.

braid issues
I use power pro and just except the wind knots on a small spool reel, part of the downside. Imo the majority of the knots come from popping a top lure or twitching a lure, not a straight retrieve.

Gosh Darnit, Yall did it to me again!
I'm cool......I never get mad, I get even, then ahead..........haha

braid issues
It isn't the line, it's the reel. I use nothing but braid and nothing but spinning, the 801 is great reel, I have an 802 and 804 but the spool on the 801 is not wide enough, that is what causing the wind knots. I also have supremes 35,30......never a wind knot and 25 constant wind knots, it's a small spool also. I just deal with it as I never would go back to mono.

Fishing in West Boca
The caloosa canal is fairly clean of floating grass and high weeds so I fish xraps, rattle traps and spoons. Most of the canals near me have a lot of weeds so I use plastic flukes almost exclusively, I'm not into worms but I should use them more. The canals on 441 are pretty clean, you can use anything. We had an east wind for change, lots of spanish mackerel on the beach, smallish.

Private vs Public schools
It's nothing but political......especially with a remark about social liberal engineers, which I see nothing wrong with at all. If I remember my nursery school days I napped, ate lunch and played. What is free about public school is that it is open to anyone without an additional tuition cost. I had to copy and paste some of those " catch" phrases to acquaint myself with them.....anyone else?

Fishing in West Boca
I have fished South County before, there are bass there and I do prefer ponds vs canals but I seem to catch more and larger fish from the canals. I'm in Delray so not far from you, be happy to mention some canals I fish.

Private vs Public schools
This response is political in nature and way off topic. This is not a debate of what is wrong with the educational system or conservative vs liberal ideology. The initial question is private vs public preschool and is worth $9100 per year.

Fishing in West Boca
Caloosa Park is off Congress near Golf rd, big bass in the canal behind the pond. Pretty sure I know this pond.

Turtles
Wonder it that guy had ever considered some periodontal work, bone graffs, implants and a few crowns.

Getting serious with a fly rod.
Too much wrist and not enough arm & shoulder will yield shorter casts and carpal syndrome.........This is one area of fishing where the quality of the rod makes a big difference. My 9wt is old, but real decent, my buddies who have bought in recent years never spend less than 5-700 for just the rod.

Any Help!!!
I stand corrected, if the bill is signed into law the ban on pre existing conditions goes into effect immediately along with insurance companies not being able to cancel after claims have been been filed. Regardless of who is president in 2014 it will take an act of congress to repeal the bill.

Clip-on polarized sunglasses
I've been using the same 2 pair of flip ups, gray and and amber for the last 3 years, little scratched now. I have been perfectly satisfied, but I think I may try the cocoons next. I use the amber for freshwater and the grey for offshore ocean.

No Bass? Try Sailfish...
I don't think about LMB too much except this time of the year when the inshore bite is dismal. Many years ago after catching my first small 2# Jack I said to myself " Why am I bass fishing?". I've caught lots of sharks and many target them as game fish, so many different ways to catch them. I like fishing with a guide in the backcountry in the keys sight casting for small shark in the 10-50# range, medium spinning using plastic flukes on a jig head.

No Bass? Try Sailfish...
Thanks, I think i will try it.

Any Help!!!
Social Security is tough, you have to keep going back and back to get an approval for medicare, an attorney never hurts in this situation, I don't the suit had anything to do with it. My wife was denied after her stroke, we just dropped the issue, but a couple we are close with both disabled were successful after about a year of trying. Unfortunately even if the healthcare bill passes today it doesn't go into effect until 2014 as I understand it. My wife is ones those already denied of a pre existing condition.
