  1. I like the spro fat papa 55. Gets down pretty good and tears it up!!
  2. I think the time to quit any lure is when you no longer have confidence in it.
  3. You will get it. Once you have it figured out it takes no time at all. I use this little pen file thing, they are cheap and I have a few so I always have one on the water.
  4. Yep I hear ya lol
  5. I'm saying the direction you want is that if you go to far you will get poked by the hook. Best way I can come up with lol usually only takes a couple swipes unless it's really bent over. Also try to match the angle of the hook point with your file stroke the best you can
  6. I have a revros 2000, for $50 I don't think there is a better reel. Drag is nice and it's smooth. Maybe a little heavy but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another
  7. You need a fine diamond file. File In one direction towards the point not away from it.
  8. Well at least I'm not the only one..
  9. Well maybe I'm picky idk. I take a new bait see if the hook sticks in my nail, if it doesn't it's not sharp in my eyes. Sometimes the lcs hooks won't even scratch my nail. TRUTH is any hook feels sticky sharp if you just poke for finger with it......
  10. The hooks are dull. If I'm the only one who thinks that for a high quality bait the hooks are crap I must be crazy. Spro cranks are cheaper and use gammy hooks, which are strong and sharp. The hooks on any LC crankbait or jerkbait I ever have owned won't stick in a fingernail out of the box. In my eyes a spro fat pap 55 out of the box is ready to roll. A lucky craft needs hooks sharpened before I throw it. Baits I use are the skt magnums, TO squarbills, 1.5 2.5 3.5 dd, pointers, flash pointers. I have a decent selection.
  11. For the money, I think it's almost a joke. Yet I still buy them. But come on lol. I'm not sure where I'm going with this but I think we should start a petition or something.
  12. Yea I'm about 5 minutes from the dam. I know some good bank spots, they only good until school lets out though...
  13. 7'6 crucial cb w 15lb fc and 6.3 gears. Would rather more high speed though.
  14. I just broke it down for full service, along with 3 other tats. They all work fine .And I checked the spook tensioner. if I didn't assemble correct, any ideas what to check?
  15. I have a tatula tactical 8.3. line is from last season, 20 lb seagaur. Has some memory on to it, but I have hit it with I've juice. Reel is fine when I'm reeling it, but just pitching around in my room it is was making a clanking noise when Line is coming off the spool. Idk if it's just the line or something else? Thanks
  16. I have a 746 extreme and I love the rod, very versitle, wear eye protection for when the dinks come flying !?
  17. Yea just give them a good rinse after every time in salt, oil frequently and you will be good. The salt will ruin any reel if it's not taken care of.
  18. I lived in ft Myers, from pa. For most inshore fishing your bass gear will be fine, you just have to break your reels down a lot more. My words of advice are anything a bass will eat, snook and reds will too. Your going to have to get some serious tackle if your going to go for a jewfish though I've caught 34" snook with a 7 m crucial crankbait rod with 14 lb mono. It's all about where you are fishing. Braid with 30lb flouro leader on spinning gear for Everyday fishing. Don't be intimidated just get some jerkbaits, hard and soft. Gulp shrimp on a jig head and you are set to figure it out. If you get spooled.. it's all good and fun for the first time !
  19. I like the crucials and dobyns champions, because that's what I own.
  20. Thanks boys
  21. I have a champion 795 swimbait rod, figured that would do, wondering what your thoughts on these rigs are. Iv never thrown one, let me know thanks. Also your recommendations are, thanks!
  22. Crucials are on sale at tw
