  1. I try to wear dark colors when fishing from the shore. But like Salenity said, if he is having good fishing form an orange kayak, then what does that tell you? I think you should only worry if you are shore fishing or sight fishing. Another thing while shore fishing, is be quiet. Walk very lightly when walking to the waters edge.
  2. Oh man that made me jump when it bit him haha
  3. Ya i plan on adding at least one if not several JDMs...piggy banks a little on the lean side though. So perhaps more TD Advantages.
  4. I got 1 pack of 1/0 ewg hooks the first time. I got a second package a couple of days ago with a pack of 5/0 monster ewg hooks. The two opposite end of the spectrum lol. I also got a sticker with the 5/0's
  5. Im not a company fanboy except for maybe Daiwa. (2 daiwas, 1 quantum, 1 okuma, 1 abu garcia). The new SX will definitely be my next purchase though. looks pretty sharp.
  6. I have thought about it and I did buy a lefty. I like it for jigs and pitching or flipping. You can just cover more targets when pitching lefty. But when fishing other things, it feels kind of weird. I would try one out before you buy a lefty BC
  7. Except for Jeff. Jeff is crazy. What I don't understand, is why never see people argue about daiwas? Is it because they know Daiwa is best and is futile to even dispute it? =P Long Mike's ability to drain batteries does not scare you?
  8. I'm the only one with warning points? Well, if I'm the worst you guys have to deal with, then you guys have it easy LOL. And Bass Dude, as long as what you're posting follows the rules then you have nothing to worry about. Don't talk about doing anything illegal, post a bunch of profanity. And by all means, do not talk about the banjo minnows!
  9. I know how ya feel. Im a shore fisherman, and lately I've been doing pretty bad, either days with no fish, or just one or two dinks. Im saving up for a boat next year though.
  10. Usually 7-9hrs. I wake up around 10:00-10:30AM. Most mornings i wake up at around 10:30am every morning. And on average, I go to bed around 2 am. I used to go to bed at 11pm-12am and wake up around 8am every day but when I got a different job that I didn't have to work in the morning.
  11. Got anything in mind more around $100-$150?
  12. Oh ya. You can pretty much see the bottom everywhere. In a couple of spots though, for reasons unknown, I could only see about 1-2ft in front of me. Ordered my diver down flag the weather this weekend is supposed to be great so I'll be going out into some deeper parts (10ft being deep on the northern side of St Clair)
  13. Well I'll try it out next time if I can me a metal rod. I can't wait till I see a big pike or muskie swimming around!
  14. Went again out in my kayak yesterday. Found A LOT of little bass and some fairly large bluegill. I was swimming around this one tight cluster of reeds and was not finding a single thing. I decided to turn around and go back to my kayak and as soon as I turn around there are about 10 bluegills right behind me! Just looking at me, waiting for me to continue swimming so they could follow me or something haha! And I started looking for an underwater camera. I also found 1 decent sized bass that was maybe 2lbs, and two perch. The bass, even though they were just babies, were really neat to watch. They were watching me as much as I watched them. Sam, what about the metal rod would attract the bass? The sound? Also, anybody know of an underwater iphone case? Or a camera I can take underwater that would take good video and pictures?
  15. Finally got a day I could go out and snorkel for the first time. My parents got some snorkel gear when they went to mexico. My dad anchored the boat about 20yds from some bulrushes and I swam over there because it was too shallow to take the boat over there. Swam around the outside of it and came to a part where I could go into it. About 10ft in I saw a couple of bass, then a few more. About 10 bass swimming in a loose group through the weeds. I chased them around for a little bit then went to go look for other fish. Found 2 bluegills swimming together a little bit later. One was average sized for St Clair but the other one was a monster! At least a 1lb, if not 1.5lbs. I just kinda looked at him and he stared right at me. Like he was about to attack me or something haha. Wind picked up and it started thundering, so i had to leave earlier than I wanted. Im going out tomorrow in my kayak to the same spot. Hopefully there will not be as much wind and the water will be clearer. Im eventually going to get a DIVER DOWN flag for my kayak so I can snorkel in some deeper spots without having to worry about getting buzzed by a boat.
  16. .I second that. Meeting him and listening to him talk was awesome. Definitely somebody that is going to go far in the sport.
  17. Uhhhh like my "updates" would just be random tips or what? Not sure on what you're trying to create. Just from the real small summary you gave, I wouldn't pay for it. Why would I when I have Bass Resource? Sorry to shoot down your idea but, I already got everything you listed. BR, and youtube.
  18. Ya know, might I suggest a burrito stora....OH, you already have that alright, good.
  19. Just looking to see if anybody would be willing to have a punk like me on there boat. I'm out of a boat for the moment and most of my shore fishing spots aren't doing anything but a couple of dinks here and there. I live in the Chesterfield/New Baltimore area. I promise I won't out fish ya
  20. I saw a couple snakes swimming around a shore spot of mine so i bought a few manns hardnose snakes. They worked pretty well. only fished them twice but both times I got plenty of hard strikes. If you're seeing snakes where you fish, it cant hurt to try them out.
  21. Eric, it could have broken on any of our ugly mugs!
  22. Honestly, my favorite spinnerbait and the one I use 70-80 percent of the time is a white with red spinnerbait, double silver willows. Ill switch blade size depending on how I want to fish it. Spinnerbaits work pretty good in weeds. As soon as you feel something give it a good pop, either you will have broken through some weeds, or set the hook on a fish. Never just reel in a spinnerbait. I always try to give it some erratic action. Add sudden pauses, vary speeds, or give it a bunch of jerks as I retrieve it. I also recommend a trailer hook, I catch enough bass on the trailer hook alone to warrant it.
  23. I got a pack of 1/0 ewg hooks, never received the big package of stuff (stickers and whatever other swag). Free hooks are free hooks, but....1/0? Come on....
