I use something similar to the rusty craw a lot and do pretty well, I like them both!

My buddy Larry was hunting when some a bass boat came and zoomed in about 25 yards away. Larry's buddy was yelling and telling them that he was too close. The fisherman was being a jerk and refusing to move and yelling back. Suddenly Larry saw two ducks, and BOOM, BOOM. Right, next to the fisherman. They moved haha. As for the bad things said about bass fisherman, I've never heard anything from anybody.

I second a spinnerbait. Run it right next to or into some of that mess. Make sure that as soon as the spinnerbait hits a branch or anything, give it a jerk, that way it wont turn over and get the hook stuck. I would also try a jig.

I applaud you sir. I never got spanked, I didn't need to be spanked. But I think If more people spanked there kids, well kids wouldn't be the jack wagons they are today. I wish I could spank other people's kids. Kudos on the old hag comeback.

Ya the people at my DICKs aint too knowledgeable either. They had some preserved shiners, trying to tell me that i should use them instead all of fake stuff I was going to buy (why would she not want me to spend more money?). Anyways, asked her if they were going to be adding to the poor selection of rage tail stuff they had. All they had were craws and shads (none of the colors that I would use anyways)......not saying they are bad, but I was looking for anacondas and lobsters. She was no help at all. Nobody seems to know anything there. I applied there as well, but they never contacted me.

Aha, a few weeks ago, was fishing a pond with a little 1/4oz square A. Bass grabbed it and just peeled out line, started fighting it and line broke. Tied on another crank, bam fish on. Broke off again. This time I saw it's belly....Good golly miss molly! Tied on a split shot rig and the dam thing broke it off too!

I've only been on St. Clair once this year for fishing but I did pretty good, handful of LM and SM. A pike stole my swarming hornet though ='(

I totally forgot about that, we ran a corned beef/pastrami sandwich for a little while it was my favorite thing at the restaurant! Better than the cuban we had. All it needed was some bacon a Gouda cheese. I think everything could use a little bacon to be honest.

Having different sized blade with you is nice. I'll switch my blades out before fishing based on the weather conditions that day or just carry a variety wiith me. Clear water/bluebird skys - silver Muddy or stained water/cloudy - gold If you want to move the bait faster or let it get deeper without going up in weight, change to a smaller blade. Slower or shallower running? Go in up size. As for skirts, white and chartreuse (and some variations of it) are the main colors that I use. Im a believer of the bleeding bait concept so If im buying a spinnerbait, I'll get one with red in it. Otherwise, I just make them with a few strands of red in the skirt. One other color I really like to use a bluegill color skirt.

Yep, but I dont do it weightless, I use a small flickshake head and wacky rig a zoom trick worm or a jackall flickshake worm,

If nothing works, a split shot rig with a 6" ribbon tail worm or baby rage craw will. I can catch fish with pretty much any lure in my tackle box if I work at it hard enough. But with the split shot rig seems to fall right into there mouths.

I have 8lb on my TD advantage and it works just fine.
