  1. Third graders be gang bangin. Strapped with cap guns and selling rock....candy. Knocking over lemonade stands and whatnot. What a bunch of utter nonsense.
  2. I have ogletree on my fantasy team. I benched him... :'(
  3. There's been 6 deaths and 150 reported cases here in Michigan (if I remember the news right). But that's what bug repellent is for. Light some citronella candles on your boat
  4. The only thing that could stop me from making this trip is if I get an apprenticeship with the boilermakers between now and the trip. Otherwise, there's no way I could miss it. I've already told my boss about it Letting him know I will be taking those days off!
  5. Excellent pictures. Ive never fished for strippers but night fishing for LM...Woooweee it's a blast! Goodluck and be careful!
  6. Back in the day when I used to be in high school (last year) there were maybe 4-5 teachers that were really pretty and 2 that were SMOKIN! Not all my teachers were hot. Where do you go to school? Playboy mansion?
  7. Compared to the mojo, I think it's a better buy. I feel that it is lighter. And plus, now you can get micro guides on em. I do like the cork on the mojo though. I snapped one the other day, but 'teas more my fault. I've dropped em, stuck the tips into the dirt, jammed them into bushes, and it held up, well both of them. I plan on adding a few more unless I really like the new team daiwa T rods
  8. I have a good chance at getting into boiler making. My uncle is a highly respected guy in the trade and is willing to put in a good word for me. Which is strange because he never does things like this for people. Makes me feel really good . Getting into a lifelong career at the age of 19 would be just amazing. And from what I've learned, the pay is pretty sweet even as just an apprentice. All I know about this job is that it involves a lot of welding. I've always loved building things with my hands, and always looked at jobs where I would be making or building something. I would hate to be working in an office cubicle (no offense to those who do ). So are there any boiler makers here that could maybe give me an idea on what to expect?
  9. Go to work so i can fund my passion, can't do those things because I'm working. Funny ain't it?
  10. Only dangerous if you live in California.
  11. Just looked up and yes they do, but I have no way of proving when I bought it :/. How would one go about this, never done it before.
  12. Glad to hear somebody somebody has something good to say about the Daiwa T rod. Just snapped a veritas and I need a new rod
  13. Waiting on the shell crackers to place an order
  14. I went to flip a fish into the boat last nigh. 'twas a bit dark and didn't know how big it was, snapped the my 7'mh veritas about 6 inches down from the tip. First one I've get broken and I bet it won't be my last. Anyways, is there anyway to even fix it at that point? Doesn't have any cracks in th blank, looks like it was a clean snap. Perhaps I just transformed it into a 6'6mh lol?
  15. A vote for bassin here. Bass master is kinda meh. Won't be renewing my subscription for that one. Will start one for bassin and BAM though.
  16. Could be a number of things, bad knot, could have been some knicks in the line, the fish may have inhaled it an had some sharper teeth. There's been a handful of bass that I go to lip and get really tore up due to there teeth. Feels like I'm trying to lip a walleye. And I'm in the same boat as SirSnookalot, I don't retire very often and am very bad about checking for abrasion on my line. I use the clinch knot about 98% of the time (the other times I use a palomar because I don't know why, I have a lot of trouble tying it lol). But it's a good habit to get into, retieing and checking your line. I gotta start doin it though, lost about a 3lb smallie yesterday :'(
  17. It's just learning how to thumb the spool correctly. On short casts, there isn't as much force spinning the spool. When the bait hits the water and the line is no longer being pulled by the bait, the spool will stop and or not over run on you that much. On the longer casts, there's enough force to keep the spool spinning even after the bait loses momentum and goes into the water. Ya just gotta learn when to stop the spool from spinning with your thumb when the bait hits the water.
  18. If you can find them, water gremlin makes a bullet shaped splitshot weight. They come through weeds so much better than normal splitshot.
  19. I bought some bps chartreuse floating worms a couple of years ago but never used them. I do pretty good pulling a weightless fluke or finesse worm over the tops of vegetation, and perhaps these would work a little better. Are they successful over medium depth water? Had them for so long and never used them, so I might as well figure out how to add them to my repertoire of methods.
  20. After a frog, I would use a 1/2oz white spinnerbait, gold blades, and try to find "lanes" to throw it down. Running it next to or even right through those pads. Also, since you say the area is all pretty much the same, I would try finding a change in bottom composition, weeds, or sudden depth change. Goodluck!
  21. Awwwww, you bought a ps3....
  22. Anybody get a look at the Dutch field hockey team? Woowee that whole team is full of babes.
  23. Sorry to hear that grimlin. My parents got divorced a 4 years ago and even though I was the kid in the situation...it hurts just as much. I didn't speak to my dad for two years after it. If i can offer any advice at all, from a kid who has been through it, by all means do not talk bad about there mom, and make sure she does not talk bad about you. It happened with me and that was part of the reason I stopped talking to my dad for two years. Just like you, this place is like another home and family to me, the last thing I would do is leave it. If you gt any questions as to what it's like from a kids pov. Send me a message and we can talk. Goodluck. Ps, come to pickwick next year for the road trip if ya can. Would be nice to meet a another Michigander/michiganian from BR.
  24. Like many others, t-rig is great. But give the split shot rig a try. Use a baby rage craw or a small worm with a curly tail.
