When to Set the Hook on T-rigs: First tick or Let 'em Take it?
Ya, somtimes you wont have any idea they are there until you lift up your rod and feel the weight of a fish. I try to get em on the first tick i feel, if i set the hook and no fish, i cast to the same spot and let the fish take for a bit longer.

Anybody watch the meteor shower?
I live in algonac michigan and saw atleast 15 different meteors. I think they are called something else if they don't reach the ground, cant remember? Anyways, i had a good view and saw one shooting star that left a streak in the sky and lasted for about 6 seconds. One of the most amazing things i've seen so far.

want to try different line
Yo-Zuri hybrid is a great line. It is a fluorocarbon and nylon combination. It has great strength/abrasion resistance. I didn't notice it being very stiff at all. That was my first time using any kind of fluorocarbon. Also, Sufix Siege is another mono i tried and it was AMAZING Next time i restock on line i will be buying Sufix Elite. I read a review on TackleTour about Elite and #12 line broke on average at i think 19.9lbs of force! Sufix is also wound on extra big spools and a winding process that nearly eliminate line memory. LOL i sound like a commercial, but im so excited to try elite!

What was i doing wrong and how can i catch more?
Hmmm, I got a fly rod, but don't use it much. mainly for panfish in my backyard. I should have tried and inline spinners. Atm i only have 12lb mono on but i got some 50lb braid im gonna put on. There is some REALLY nice slop farther down the creek, that last year produced really well with a topwater frog.

internet testosterone or really the way folks think?
LoL, Big Tom's avatar made me try to get the fly off my screen....

What was i doing wrong and how can i catch more?
I went to one of my older stomping grounds that i had not been to in months. Its a pretty big creek with a massive amount of slop on the top. Weed growth is still pretty good. I started throwing at Space Monkey as a top water frog. On the 4th or 5th cast i had on hit. He came off at the end of the fight. I kept casting the same thing up and down the bank and nothing. I kept seeing "fish" blow up the surface. I'm pretty sure it is not carp since the spawn is over. I also saw Baitfish hopping out of the water every so often and biting at the surface. I fished from i think 6pm-8pm. Other lures i tried were: Texas rigged trick worm/power worm, spro frog (in black, white and green/yellow), Zara spook. I even tried a double fluke rig with two baby bass colored spooks. Nothing. All the while, fish are exploding the surface with the baitfish popping aroung. What the heck do i gotta do to catch em?

Giving the fish something different to look at
Try it. Wouldn't hurt. Different style of creature bait i guess?

Proof that old baits still catch fish
I caught my biggest fish of the year on an original jitterbug my grandpa gave me.

senko as a trailer?????????
I say have your kid mess around with some stuff. Maybe he will invent some new awesome rig? Ain't that the way the wacky rig was invented? Some guy didn't know how to rig a plastic worm so he hooked through the middle, and it looked a little....wACky

Whats the utimate finess fishing technique?
Great responses everybody. I've been using a splitshot rig. I got the Zoom ss+u tail worm and a 2/0 ewg gammy hook. And i place one #6 or #3 splitshot (depending on wind and depth) about 18-24 inches above the worm. I'm catching rock bass, Largemouth, small mouth, and PIKE (although every so often they gnaw through my line). As for line i have some #8 yo-zuri hybrid ultra soft. I would have gotten #6 but they were outta stock.

lake fork pllastics
I havn't tried but on my next order to TW or BPS im gettin some. This guy is using a javallon which is the same as the LFT Live Magic Shad. He usues it on a drop shot rig, you gotta see it.

Whats the utimate finess fishing technique?
When fish are not biting and your in some super clear water, what would be the best finesse fishing presentation. The fineesiest of finesse? Also how about line test? Whats the lowest you will go?

Re: Pike or line break?
Ive had pike cut through my mono before. Never braid. Once was using a split shot rig with a culprit worm. I felt a tug and set the hook...nothing. When i reeled it in, the curly tail had been bitten off! Threw out a new worm and 2 casts later, another hit then nothing. this time he took the whole worm...and hook. I've also lost a few cranks and various other soft plastics to pike. I despise them.

DUH!!! Totally forgot about this approach
This happened to me too. I've fished for bass for 3 years now and i still have a lot to learn. But when i started out, all i used was Texas rigged worms and a few other soft plastics. Now I've grown my lure collection to accommodate liplless/lipped cranks, spinners, jigs, swim baits, and various other types of lures. Latley ive been using nothing but hardbaits and my BC. I forgot all about my spinning gear. Latley though im gettin back into soft plastics. And i feel bad for hurting their feelings and not letting them out the box .

Just a good pic
Woah hoooo! I hate snakes...what kind of a snake is that btw?

internet testosterone or really the way folks think?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh thats good stuff Raul. Anyways, i would not shoot somebody running off with my t.v. If there is a dude IN MY HOUSE? That will change whether i shoot him or not. The thing is i wouldn't know if he had a weapon. If i saw anything that resembled a gun i might shoot. This is all what comes to mind. I don't actually own a gun but have put in though for a concealed weapons permit.

favorite trailer for action???
Rage craws, or chunks. Also, I was wondering if anyone has used a space monkey for a trailer?

A couple bluegills
OH MAN! Those are the perfect color for bluegill in my canal! I am not even kidding how close those look. That hint of orange is perfect as is the small amount of blue and dark brown stripes.

Need help with kayak anchoring.
http://www.kayakfishingsupplies.com/servlet/the-299/Hobie-Inflatable-Tandem-i14t/Detail That's what I got, well my step dad has and I use. It is a 2 person inflatable. I use it only in my canal but in the canal is a good amount of current. I move a foot about every 5 seconds. I have an anchor, but it is kinda tricky, it makes me go sideways when I use it. I hook the anchor on the side in the back. To the right of the back seat. I'm fishing in roughly 5-10 feet of water. Is there a certain way to anchor where i will point straight with the current? Also an easier way to deploy and recover the anchor?
