Dare Devils, big ones. Buy a few different colors, I dont fish for them but my step dad does. Usually he throws Dare Devils, big inline spinners, or some kind of big swimbait. Although people usually throw big lures, my step dad caught a 39in muskie on a 1/2oz lipless crank with a medium action spinning rod.

Paid 23.99 for 300 yards of Fireline Braid(50lb) from Dicks. Compared to BPS 37.99 for the same! Is this a higher quality braid than power pro? It feels a lot smoother/rounder than power pro or spider wire. Anyone have this as their favorite?

HA Never had a fish bite me while swimming lol

This isnt a normal tournament its a tournament from the shore. Its september 18 so i have some time to get ready. The winner will be determined who has the biggest fish. Since its on the shore, i cant carry a live well with me so i have to use somthing else. Also is there a special way i should fish instead of fishing for fun?

What are some books that you would suggest reading that are about bass?

Doesn't hurt to try them. But i would recommend something that gives off more vibration/sound, like a spinnerbait with a big single colorado blade or a lipless crank.

I've never had a problem with gamaktsu hooks. If money was on the line, I would use Trokars, but I don't do tourneys as of now so I don't see the use in spending the extra money.
