$80 isn't bad, but if its used I've seen them sell for less. I do think this is a good starter reel. I have several and now have 2 of the E's also

I don't like it for popper type lures. sometimes when working these lures really slowly the floating braid will get caught up in the hooks.

you can switch out the gears of the citica for a lower gear ratio.

I like to have my cast control knob pretty loose while pitching.

I haven't tried the mojo rods but I love my avids.

I love the citica reels, great reel at $120. Just got my second E yesterday.

I actually like quantum products for the most part. I have had very little issues with their reels and find customer service to be great. Most of my spinning reels are quantum.

I don't feel they are a big plus. the pros.. the feel pretty good, and I feel they give me good grip especially in some bad weather conditions. the cons.. can't really think of any. they are about 5 bucks so if you don't like them you are not loosing much.
