People and their boat docks.
I have never had a problem while fishing a dock.......I do as a rule bypass the dock If folks are sitting there....Most alll that I have ever talked to have been nice and always seem to want to shoot the bull.

I fish some ponds down Pender county way and have always had good succes with 4" Zoom dead ringers.......Rouges and buzzbzits have produced well also......- Favorite Pro??????????
Old school: Hank Parker, Guy Eaker, Blake Honeycutt, and while not a pro a local guy that had a show for years and years before he passed, Jim Ledbetter. Others; Gary Klien, Larry Nixon, Tommy Biffle, and David Fritts.- NC / SC Lakes
I'm going to hit Lake Rhodhiss tomorrow and Hickory on Tuesday......Full report on Tuesday evening or Wednesday evening. Lake Rhodhiss: Fished 6 hours yesterday with fair results. Me and my fishing parter landed 5 bass the largest being only 2 lbs. All came off cranbaits off of points with the exception of one that came on a beaver bait in a cut right on the bank. The one thing that was common to every fish caught was the baits were deep inside the fishes mouth. Crankbaits used: Bomber models A shad, black back, Suddreth white and chartruse(they no longer are In production) and a bomber flat sided bait, baby bass. Fished Hickory for three hours this morning without much luck..A few dinks on crankbaits was all. We couldn't stay out very long...... Hopefully the reports will be better soon. Keep In mind though that It's getting that time and It's come none too soon. Good fishing gentlemen...- New here...from Wilmington, NC

Welcome aboard....I'm from the Hickory area.- Does anyone have a closet dedicated to fishing?
Still working on this.... http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr290/whitwolf/SANY0073.jpg- Wildlife encounters
My family Is from Burgaw(Near Wilmington)...It's not uncommon to see gators and snakes on the Northeast Cape Fear river to be sure....Many water snakes here on the local lakes in Western NC but none of the poisonious variety that I'm aware of except the copperheads and I have yet to see one actually In the water. Basspack didn't they find like a 10' Rattle snake around Burgaw a few years back? I remember seeing a picture of it. I'll do some looking and see if I can find it. Frog, my cousin showed me a picture just the other day of a farmer that killed one inbetween Atkinson and Burgaw....Biggest rattlesnake I have ever seen. He said the thing weighed 90+ pounds. Ill get him to send me the picture and post It.- fish attractants or scents
Most of the boys around here in Hickory/Lenoir NC use a product called Smelly Jelly....I have found nothing that works better although I will admit that I've only used the origanal fish formula, Berkley, and carolina lunker suase.....It stays with the bait for quite sometime and I have had a jar on occasion for over a year....- Wildlife encounters
